Abstract
Domino 1,4- and 1,6-addition reactions of ketene silyl acetals to dialkynyl imines are disclosed. Aluminum chloride promoted domino 1,4- and 1,6-addition reactions of ketene silyl acetals to dialkynyl imines to give a variety of alkenyl iminocyclobutenones in moderate to good yields. The chemoselective reduction of alkenyl iminocyclobutenones and the subsequent thermal rearrangement of resulting alkenyl aminocyclobutenones in the presence of appropriate amines provided cis or trans multifunctionalized β-lactams in moderate to high yields with good to high diastereoselectivities.

Abstract
In this work, we report enantioselective orthogonal tandem catalysis for the one pot conversion of Meldrum's acid derivatives and alkynes into δ-lactones. This new transformation, which resembles a formal [4+2] cycloaddition with concomitant decarboxylation and loss of acetone, proceeds in high yields and excellent enantioselectivity (up to 99 % ee) over a broad substrate scope. The products are densely functionalized and ripe for further transformations, as demonstrated here by both ring-opening reactions and reduction to saturated lactones. It was discovered that a new and serendipitously formed AgI -Me-StackPhos complex efficiently catalyzes the highly selective 6-endo-dig cyclization, completely reversing the regiochemistry that has been previously reported in related systems. More generally, in this study we identify a pair of compatible catalysts for alkyne difunctionalization that operate concurrently, which enable the alkyne to act as both a nucleophile and an electrophile in sequential one-pot transformations.

Abstract
A rhodium-catalyzed highly regio- and enantioselective hydroalkynylation generating cis-hydrobenzofuranone-tethered enynes has been developed. The reaction proceeds with a dynamic kinetic head-to-head insertion and symmetry breaking Michael addition cascade.
A rhodium-catalyzed highly regio- and enantioselective hydroalkynylation, generating cis-hydrobenzofuranone-tethered enynes has been developed. The reaction proceeds with a selective head-to-head insertion and symmetry breaking Michael addition cascade. One product was produced from tens of possible isomers through precise control of chemo-, regio-, and stereoselectivities using a single rhodium catalyst. Notable features of this method include 100% atom-economy, mild reaction conditions and a very broad substrate scope.
