Abstract
The synthesis of 1,2,3-triazoles with a sulfur-based side chain has been accessed with the metal-free annulation reactions of readily available β-thiolated enaminones and tosyl hydrazine. By these reactions with water as the only medium, a broad array of 5-thiolated 1,2,3-triazoles have been synthesized with generally good to excellent yields. Except using TMEDA (N,N,N',N'-tetramethylethylenediamine) as the only base promoter, not any other catalyst or additive is required, thus providing an efficient and environmentally benign method for useful 1,2,3-triazole synthesis.

Abstract
A new versatile strategy involving a sequential four-component reaction of the nitroketene dithioacetals, alkylamine/benzylamine, isatin and various enolizable active methylene structures (pyrazolone, barbituric acid, 1,3-indandione and 2-hydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinone) as precursors under mild and catalyst-free conditions results in the synthesis of new functionalized spirooxindole pyrans named spiro[indoline-3,4′-pyrano[2,3-c]pyrazol], spiro[indoline-3,5′-pyrano[2,3-d]pyrimidine], spiro[indeno[1,2-b]pyran-4,3′-indoline] and spiro[benzo[g]chromene-4,3′-indoline] in moderate to good yields. The use of various active methylene compounds affords a range of skeletally distinct spirooxindole-based heterocycles with potential biological properties. The present strategy has many advantages, such as convenient one-pot operation, simple workup procedures and straightforward isolation without using tedious purification steps such as column chromatography, progress under catalyst-free condition and high molecular diversity. Abstract
The reaction between ketene animal/ketene N,S-acetals (derived from diamines/cysteamine hydrochloride and 1,1-bis(methylthio)-2-nitroethene) with aromatic aldehydes, and Meldrum's acid led to the title compounds. The reaction conditions were optimized using response surface methodology (RSM). The two independent variables (temperature and water content of aqueous ethanol), and the responses (yield of product and reaction time) were studied. The range of each parameter selected was: T = 25–100 °C and water = 0–100%. The optimal values were: T = 72 °C and water = 33%. This work offers significant advantages including use of a green solvent, experimental simplicity, absence of catalyst, a simple work-up and purification process, moderate to good yields, and preparation of potentially bioactive compounds. The one-pot reaction of various diamines with cysteamine hydrochloride or 1,1-bis(methylthio)-2-nitroethene, aromatic aldehydes, and Meldrum's acid led to pyridone compounds in good yields. The reaction conditions were optimized using response surface method.![]()

Abstract
A direct Csp3-H bond oxidative thioesterification of methyl ketones with aromatic thiols/disulfides promoted by TBAI/K2S2O8 has been developed. The reaction provides successfully a simple and efficient method for the synthesis of functionalized α-ketothioesters of aromatic thiols. This practical methodology exhibits readily available starting materials, large-scale applicability, synthetic application, and broad functional group tolerance. A possible mechanism for the transformation is proposed.

Abstract
An efficient synthesis of thiazolidine-2,4,5-triimine derivatives was developed via Ni-catalyzed oxidative double isocyanide insertion to thioureas under air conditions, in which thioureas play three roles as a substrate, a ligand, and overcoming isocyanide polymerization. The reaction is featured by employing a low-cost and low loading Ni(acac)2 catalyst, without any additives, and high atom economy. This is the first example to directly apply a Ni(II) catalyst in oxidative double isocyanide insertion reactions.

Abstract
A highly selective, IBX-promoted reaction has been developed for the oxidative cleavage of inert C(aryl)-N bonds on secondary amides while leaving the C(carbonyl)-N bond unchanged. This metal-free reaction proceeds under mild conditions (HFIP/H2O, 25 °C), providing facile access to various useful primary amides, some of which would be otherwise unattainable using conventional aminolysis and hydrolysis approaches.

Abstract
A general and concise method was developed for the synthesis of highly functionalized morphans 3-4 by the Michael and hetero-Michael addition reaction of different types of quinone monoketals 1 and 1,1-enediamines 2 in ethanol or 1,4-dioxane at reflux. This method is suitable for the efficient parallel syntheses of N-containing heterocycles. A library of highly functional morphan derivatives was easily constructed using the Michael/hetero-Michael reaction.

Abstract
Herein, we describe a novel approach for the practical synthesis of tetrasubstituted thiophenes 8. The developed method was particularly used for the facile preparation of thienyl heterocycles 8. The mechanism for this reaction is based on the formation of a sulfur ylide-like intermediate. It was clearly suggested by (i) the intramolecular cyclization of ketene N,S-acetals 7 to the corresponding thiophenes 8, (ii) 1H NMR studies of Meldrum's acid-substituted aminothioacetals 9, and (iii) substitution studies of the methoxy group on Meldrum's acid containing N,S-acetals 9b. Notably, in terms of structural effects on the reactivity and stability of sulfur ylide-like intermediates, 2-pyridyl substituted compound 7a exhibited superior properties over those of others.

Abstract
A new class of tetrahydroimidazo[1,2-a]pyridine derivatives has been successfully prepared via a five-component domino reaction using cyanoacetohydrazide, 9-fluorenone, aromatic aldehydes, 1,1-bis(methylthio)-2-nitroethene and ethylenediamine in ethanol at reflux. The new efficient cascade approach involves a sequence of N,N-acetal formation, Knoevenagel condensation, Michael addition, imine–enamine tautomerization and N-cyclization as key steps. The merit of this protocol is highlighted by its available and economical starting compounds, operational simplicity, clean reaction profile and tolerance of a wide diversity of functional groups. Abstract
An elegant, efficient, and highly regioselective approach for the synthesis of novel methyl 5-amino-3-(methylthio)-1-differently substituted-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxylates is reported. The procedure involves the cyclocondensation of α-oxeketene S, S-dimethyl acetal building blocks with different alkyl, aryl, and heterocyclic acid hydrazides. The novel molecules were obtained in good yields and their identities confirmed by NMR and HRMS spectrometry.

Abstract
Metathesis reactions is firmly established as a valuable synthetic tool in organic chemistry, clearly comparable with the venerable Diels-Alder and Wittig reactions and, more recently, with the metal-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions. Metathesis reactions can be considered as a fascinating synthetic methodology, allowing different variants regarding substrate (alkene and alkyne metathesis) and type of metathetical reactions. On the other hand, tandem metathesis reactions such Ring Rearrangement Metathesis (RRM) and the coupling of metathesis reaction with other reactions of alkenes such as Diels-Alder or Heck reactions, makes metathesis one of the most powerful and reliable synthetic procedure. In particular, Ring-Rearrangement Metathesis (RRM) refers to the combination of several metathesis transformations into a domino process such as ring-opening metathesis (ROM)/ring-closing metathesis (RCM) and ROM-cross metathesis (CM) in a one-pot operation. RRM delivers complex frameworks that are difficult to assemble by conventional methods constitutingan atom economic process. RRM is applicable to mono- and polycyclic systems of varying ring sizes such as cyclopropene, cyclobutene, cyclopentene, cyclohexene, pyran systems, bicyclo[2.2.1]heptene derivatives, bicyclo[2.2.2]octene derivatives, bicyclo[3.2.1]octene derivatives and bicyclo[3.2.1]octene derivatives. In this review our attention has focused on the RRM reactions in 7-oxabicyclo[2.2.1]heptene derivatives and on their application in the synthesis of natural products or significant subunits of them.
