Abstract
Selenium-containing monomer monophenyl maleimide selenide (MSM) was synthesized and copolymerized with styrene (St) using reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) polymerization. Copolymers with controlled molecular weight and narrow molecular weight distribution were obtained. The structure of the copolymer was characterized by nuclear magnetic resonance, matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight (MALDI-TOF) mass spectrum, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and Ultraviolet⁻visible spectroscopy (UV-vis) spectroscopy. The copolymer can be oxidized by H₂O₂ to form carbon-carbon double bonds within the main chain due to the unique sensitivity of selenide groups in the presence of oxidants. Such structure changing resulted in an interesting concentration-related photoluminescence emission enhancement.

Abstract
The facile synthesis of fused multifunctionalized dibenzoselenophenes by a one-pot-three-step cascade hexadehydro-Diels-Alder reaction of tetraynes is reported. The overall transformation involves the formation of four new C-C bonds and one new Caryl-Se bond and C-H activation via both intramolecular cyclization and intermolecular free radical reactions.

Abstract
An efficient visible-light photoredox decarboxylative coupling of N-(acetoxy)phthalimides with aryl thiols has been developed. The reaction was performed well at room temperature with good tolerance of functional groups. Importantly, the visible-light photoredox decarboxylative arylthiation did not need an added photocatalyst.

Abstract
Owing to their favourable photophysical and electrochemical properties, phthalimides undergo a variety of highly efficient photodecarboxylation reactions. These transformations have been applied to the synthesis of macrocyclic compounds as well as bioactive addition adducts. N-Acetoxyphthalimides are versatile precursors to imidyl and alkyl radicals through photodecarboxylation and have subsequently been used for a variety of coupling reactions. The generally mild reaction conditions make these reactions attractive for green chemical applications. The process protocols were successfully transferred to novel photoreactor devices, among these falling film or continuous flow reactors.

Abstract
The conventional methods for preparing alkyl boronates often necessitate anhydrous and demanding reaction conditions. Herein, a new, operationally simple decarboxylative borylation reaction of readily available aliphatic acid derivatives under additive-free visible-light photoredox conditions in nonanhydrous solvents has been described. Primary and secondary alkyl boronates or tetrafluoroborates with various functional groups were prepared accordingly. A catalytic cycle involving alkyl radical reaction with base-activated diboron species has been proposed.
