Abstract
A facile and practical approach to construct a furopyridinyl motif through a gold-catalyzed cascade cyclization of easily accessible diynamides is described. This strategy offers a straightforward approach to furo[2,3-c]isoquinoline and 6H-furo[3',2':5,6]pyrido[3,4-b]indole derivatives. The reaction could build up four new bonds and two additional heteroaromatic rings via a single operation. The heterocyclic products show promising blue luminous performance with fluorescence quantum yields up to 75%.

Abstract
A method for the synthesis of diverse polysubstituted quinolines from readily available acrylic acids and anthranils has been developed. The weakly coordinating -COOH directing group, which can be tracelessly removed in the cascade cyclization, is essential for this reaction. Diverse polysubstituted quinolines were obtained under mild reaction conditions with simple H2O and CO2 as byproducts. More importantly, 1,2,3,4-tetrahydroacridine, which is the core skeleton of tacrine (an Alzheimer's disease drug), was conveniently synthesized.

Abstract
Cobalt(III)-catalyzed electrophilic amination of inert C(sp3)–H bonds of weakly coordinating thioamides with readily accessible anthranil derivatives was accomplished under mild conditions, with good functional group tolerance, thus providing various amino aldehydes and amino ketones. Moreover, our protocol with the versatile [Cp*Co(MeCN)3][SbF6]2 features excellent atom-economy and oxidant-free conditions, and allows facile late-stage functionalization.

Abstract
An unprecedented copper-catalyzed reaction of sulfoxonium ylides and anthranils is reported that enables an easy access to 2,3-diaroylquinolines through a [4+1+1] annulation. Copper-catalyzed homocoupling of sulfoxonium ylides provided α,α,β-tricarbonyl sulfoxonium ylides, which provides a strategy to extend the carbon chain through C-C bond formation. The utility of the products as well as the mechanistic details of the process are presented.

Abstract
An efficient synthesis of a variety of quinazolinone derivatives via a direct cyclization reaction between commercially available anthranils and cyclic amines is described. The developed transformation proceeds with the merits of high step- and atom-efficiency, a broad substrate scope, and good to excellent yields, without additional catalysts, and offers a practical way for the preparation of rutaecarpine and its derivatives with structural diversity.
