Abstract
A new Mn(II)-based metal–organic coordination polymer (CP), [Mn(DCTA)(L)(H2O)2]·(H2O) (1), was synthesized by self-assembly of Mn(OAc)2·4H2O with 1,4-bis(benzimidazol-1-ylmethyl)-benzene (L) and 2,5-dimercaptoterephthalic acid (H2DCTA). Furthermore, a refluxing treatment method was used to prepare the nanostructure 1 with good size distribution. Furthermore, the treatment effect of nano 1 on cerebral infarction was evaluated. Firstly, the real time RT-PCR was performed and the relative expression levels of the hs-CRP in human brain microvascular endothelial cell (HBMEC) was measured. Next, the content of the interleukin-1β (IL-1β) and interleukin-18 (IL-18) released by the HBMEC was detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) detection kit.

Abstract
A new Cd(II) coordination polymer with the formula of {[(CH3)2NH2][Cd3(NH2-bdc)3(btz)(H2O)]} n (1 NH2-H2bdc = 2-aminoterephthalic acid, Hbtz = 1 H-benzotriazole) was produced and then it was structurally characterized through powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), the analysis of X-ray single-crystal diffraction, along with elemental analysis (EA). The photocatalytic property investigations indicate that compound 1 exhibits good activity for photodegradation of methyl violet (MV) with 60.7% of MV removal in 40 min under room temperature. Furthermore, the assessment of the compound's treatment activity and nursing application values on the bacterial infection was conducted and its corresponding mechanism was also studied. Evaluation of the in vitro hemolysis of the compound was determined by measuring the degree of red blood cell lysis and hemoglobin release. The effect of new compounds on the relative proliferation rate of L-929 cells was measured by MTT assay. The ELISA detection kit showed that the compound could reduce the TNF-α and IL-1β content released into plasma. Next, the inhibitory activity of the compound on the bacterial survival gene expression was also proved with real-time RT-PCR. The hemolysis rate of the new compound to blood is 3.4%, which is less than the standard 5%, which is non-hemolytic reaction. The compound also has no obvious cytotoxicity and has good cell compatibility.

Abstract
Still today, cancer remains a threat to human health. Possible common treatments to cure this disease include chemotherapy (CT), radiotherapy (RT), photothermal therapy (PTT), and surgical resection, which give unreasonable results because of their limited efficiency and also lead to side-effects. Hence, different strategies are now being exploited to not only enhance the efficiency of these traditional therapeutic methods or treat the tumor cells but also curtail the side effects. A latest method with authentic proof of chemodynamic therapy (CDT) utilizing the Fenton reaction is now gaining importance. This approach, which is developed based on the high level of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) in a tumor microenvironment (TME), can be used to catalyze the Fenton reaction to generate cancer cell-killing reactive oxygen species (ROS). The selection of materials is extremely important and nanomaterials offer the most likely method to facilitate CDT. Among various materials, metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) which have been extensively applied in medical areas are regarded as a promising material and possess potential for the next generation of nanotechnology. This review focuses on summarizing the use of MOFs in CDT and their synergetic therapeutics as well as the challenges, obstacles, and development.

Via utilizing the mixed-ligand method, a novel coordination polymer (CP) containing Cu(II) has been prepared by self-assembly at the ambient temperature, and its chemical formula is {[Cu(BINDI)0.5 (bpe)]·3H2O} n (1, bpe = 1,2-bis(4-pyridyl)ethylene and H4BINDI = N,N'-bis(5-isophthalic acid) naphthalenediimide). For the treatment of the tuberculosis, its biological function was evaluated as well. The CFU assay was performed to determine the bacterial numbers of the Mycobacterium in alveolar macrophages. In addition to this, the ropA gene of the Mycobacterium in alveolar macrophages was also detected through the real time RT-PCR method. Only the oxygen atoms on the metal complex are identified to be able to interact with the probe protein by molecular docking simulation.

Abstract
By modulating the metal centers to adjust the coordination surroundings of the products, two mixed-linker coordination polymers [Cu2(L)(biz)(OH)]·H2O (1) and [Zn(HL)(biz)] (2) (H3L = 5-(4-carboxybenzyloxy)isophthalic acid, biz = benzimidazole), have been produced under mild hydrothermal conditions. To develop new candidates for the acute oral mucositis during orthodontic process, the acute oral mucositis rat model was constructed and the enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was used to find out the release levels of inflammatory cytokines Tumor Necrosis Factor-α (TNF-α) and Interleukin-1β (IL-1β). Next, the activation of the AKT signaling pathway was estimated through judging the relative expression of the inflammatory genes in the oral mucosa cells via reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). After compounds treatment, the expression level of the AKT signaling pathway was evaluated by a western blot. Finally, the quantity of the reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the oral mucosa cells was gauged with ROS detection kit. All the results in this research indicated the much more excellent treatment activity of compound 1 than 2 on the acute oral mucositis.

Abstract
In this article, the characterization, synthesis, as well as the photocatalysis dye degradation performance of two novel silver(I) coordination polymers, namely, [Ag(L)(Hbdc)]n (1, L = 1,4-Bis(5,6-dimethylbenzimidazol-1-yl)butane, H2bdc = 1,4-Benzenedicarboxylic acid) and [Ag2(L)(hip)]n (2, H2hip = 5-Hydroxyisophthalic acid), were investigated. Fascinatingly, the photocatalytic performance of Complexes 1 and 2 have been investigated, wherein Complex 2 is considered an excellent photocatalyst for degrading Rhodamine B/methyl violet/methylene blue mixed organic dyes. Furthermore, the treatment activities of Complexes 1 and 2 on Tic disorder (TD) were assessed when used with haloperidol, and biochemical studies were conducted to reveal the mechanism in detail. Initially, the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was carried out to determine the dopamine and high vanillic acid contents in the striatum of the TD animal model. Subsequently, the reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction was utilized to determine the relative expression of dopamine 1 and 2 receptor.

Abstract
Tb3+ and Eu3+ ions were encapsulated for the first time in the inorganic layers of a synthetic saponite clay following a one-pot synthetic approach. The co-presence of the two metal ions led to tuneable light-emitting properties, promoted by an efficient Tb3+ → Eu3+ energy transfer and enhanced Stokes shift character. To our knowledge, the so-prepared luminescent material was tested for the first time as an optical sensor for the detection of chromate anions in water.

Abstract
Abstract
Two new mononuclear compounds [Mn(3-Br-pydc)(H2O)3] (1) and {[Mn(5-Br-pyc)(bipy)(H2O)(Cl)]·2H2O (2) (3-Br-H2pydc = 3-Br-pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid, 5-Br-Hpyc = 5-Br-pyridine-2-carboxylic acid, bipy = 2,2′-bipyridine) have been synthesized by traditional solution reaction and hydrothermal reaction, respectively. In both compounds, the MnII center is six-coordinated in a distorted octahedral geometry, formed by one tridentate chelate 3-Br-pydc dianion and three water molecules in 1, while the coordination sphere consists of one bidentate chelate 5-Br-pyc anion, one bipy, one water molecule, and one chloride anion in 2 (MnNO5 for 1 and MnN3O2Cl for 2). O–H⋯O hydrogen bonds, Br⋯O halogen bonds, and/or π-π stacking assist in the construction of the three-dimensional (3D) network structures of 1 and 2. Notably, the 5-Br-Hpyc ligand was generated in situ by decarboxylation of the 3-Br-H2pydc precursor under hydrothermal conditions. Variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility data in the 2–300 K temperature range indicate weak antiferromagnetic coupling in both 1 and 2.
