Abstract
An efficient and redox-neutral Rh(III)-catalyzed C-H activation/[3 + 2] annulation of N-phenoxy amides with propargylic monofluoroalkynes has been realized to afford 3-alkylidene dihydrobenzofurans with an interesting α-quaternary carbon center. Combined experimental and computational mechanistic studies revealed that a Rh(III)-Rh(V)-Rh(III) catalytic pathway/uncatalyzed intramolecular [H···F] bonding-assisted SN2'-type substitution cascade might be involved in the catalytic cycle, thereby enabling an excellent site-/regioselectivity with broad substrate/functional group compatibility, including the complete retention of the highly strained cyclobutyl structure in the 3-position.

Abstract
C-H activation of sulfoxonium ylides catalyzed by rhodium(iii) with subsequent annulation by alkynylsulfones was accomplished. This methodology offers a step-economical approach for assembling C3-sulfone-substituted naphthols with a high level of regioselectivity that is complementary to previous protocols. The approach has an extensive substrate spectrum and broad functional group tolerance.

Abstract
A simple and highly efficient metal-free method has been developed for hydroxyfluoroalkylation of indoles and imidazo[1,2-a]pyridines via TEMPO-mediated C(sp3)-H and C(sp2)-H bond cross-dehydrogenative coupling of fluorinated alcohols and indoles. The protocol showed broad substrate scope, afforded good yields of hydroxyfluoroalkylated products, and was amenable for scale-up. Mechanistic investigation indicated involvement of the radical pathway.

Abstract
A rhodium-catalyzed C4-selective C-H alkenylation of 3-carboxy-2-pyridones with styrenes has been developed. The carboxylic group at the C3 position works as the traceless directing group, and the corresponding C4-alkenylated 2-pyridones are obtained exclusively with concomitant decarboxylation. Unlike the reported procedures, the exclusive C4 selectivity is uniformly observed even in the presence of potentially more reactive C-H bonds at the C5 and C6 positions. By using this strategy, the multiply substituted 2-pyridone can be prepared via sequential C-H functionalization reactions.
