Abstract
Derivatives of 3-(1H-1,2,3-triazol-1-yl)quinoline-2,4(1H,3H)-dione unsubstituted on quinolone nitrogen atom, which are available by the previously described four step synthesis starting from aniline, were exploited as intermediates in obtaining the title compounds. The procedure involves the introduction of propargyl group onto the quinolone nitrogen atom of mentioned intermediates by the reaction of them with propargyl bromide in N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) in presence of a potassium carbonate and the subsequent formation of a second triazole ring by copper catalyzed cyclisation reaction with azido compounds. The products were characterized by 1H, 13C and 15N NMR spectroscopy. The corresponding resonances were assigned on the basis of the standard 1D and gradient selected 2D NMR experiments (1H–1H gs-COSY, 1H–13C gs-HSQC, 1H–13C gs-HMBC) with 1H–15N gs-HMBC as a practical tool to determine 15N NMR chemical shifts at the natural abundance level of 15N isotope.

Abstract
A novel 1,4-disubstituted 1,2,3-triazole-based ligand, 2-(4-(pyridin-2-yl)-1 H-1,2,3-triazol-1-yl)propane-1,3-diamine (ptpd), which possesses pyridyl and diamino secondary and tertiary coordinating groups was synthesized in excellent yield. The reactivity of 2-(1-phenyl-1 H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)pyridine (ptp), di- tert-butyl (2-azidopropane-1,3-diyl)dicarbamate (Boc2-ptpd), and ptpd·3HCl was investigated with Au(III) and Pt(II) precursors. Analysis including X-ray crystal structures of [Au(III)Cl3(ptp)] (1), [Au(III)Cl2(ptpd)][Au(I)Cl2][OH]{[NaAuCl4·2H2O]} n (3), and [Pt(II)Cl2(ptpdH2)][PtCl4] (4) revealed that ptpd (i) serves as a monodentate ligand for Au(III) coordinating to the metal center via the pyridine nitrogen only, (ii) preferentially coordinates Au(III) via the bidentate diamino group over the monodentate pyridine group, (iii) can coordinate Pt(II) in a bidentate fashion via the pyridyl nitrogen and the triazole N-3, and (iv) can bridge two Pt(II) centers through bidentate chelation at the diamino group and bidentate chelation via the pyridyl nitrogen and the triazole N-3. ptpd represents a versatile ligand template for the development of mixed metal complexes.

Abstract
Mesoionic carbenes are a subclass of the family of N-heterocyclic carbenes that generally feature less heteroatom stabilization of the carbenic carbon and hence impart specific donor properties and reactivity schemes when coordinated to a transition metal. Therefore, mesoionic carbenes and their complexes have attracted considerable attention both from a fundamental point of view as well as for application in catalysis and beyond. As a follow-up of an earlier Chemical Reviews overview from 2009, the organometallic chemistry of N-heterocyclic carbenes with reduced heteroatom stabilization is compiled for the 2008-2017 period, including specifically the chemistry of complexes containing 1,2,3-triazolylidenes, 4-imidazolylidenes, and related 5-membered N-heterocyclic carbenes with reduced heteratom stabilization such as (is)oxazolylidenes, pyrrazolylidenes, and thiazolylidenes, as well as pyridylidenes as 6-membered N-heterocyclic carbenes with reduced heteroatom stabilization. For each ligand subclass, metalation strategies, electronic and steric properties, and applications, in particular, in metal-mediated catalysis, are compiled. Mesoionic carbenes demonstrate particularly high activity in (water) oxidation, hydrogen transfer reactions, and cyclization reactions. Unique features of these ligands are identified such as their dipolar structure, their specific donor properties, as well as stability aspects of the ligand and the complexes, which provides opportunities for further research.

Abstract
Two novel bis(triazolyl)carbazole ligands Hbtc1 (3,6-di(tert-butyl)-1,8-bis[(1-(3,5-di(tert-butyl)phenyl)-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)]-9H-carbazole) and Hbtc2 (3,6-di(tert-butyl)-1,8-bis[(4-(3,5-di(tert-butyl)phenyl)-1,2,3-triazol-1-yl)]-9H-carbazole), differing in the regiochemistry of triazole attachment, have been synthesized by Cu-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition, the so-called "click-reactions". Metalation with Ru, Zn, and Ni precursors led to the formation of M(btc)2 complexes (M=Ru, Zn, Ni), with two deprotonated ligands coordinating to the metal center in tridentate fashion, forming almost perfectly octahedral coordination spheres. The redox properties of M(btc)2 complexes have been investigated by cyclic voltammetry, UV/Vis spectroscopy, spectroelectrochemistry, and chemically. The CV of the ruthenium complexes revealed three quasi-reversible one-electron oxidation processes, one assigned as the RuII/III couple and two originating from ligand-based oxidations. The CVs of both Zn and Ni complexes contained only two oxidation waves corresponding to the oxidation of the two ligands. The oxidation potentials of complexes derived from Hbtc1 ligands were found to be 300-400 mV lower than those of the corresponding complexes derived from Hbtc2, reflecting the significant difference in donation through the N(2) or N(3) atom of the triazole moiety.

Abstract
A convenient access to a triad of triazoles with ferrocenyl and cobaltoceniumyl substituents is reported. N-Alkylation, deprotonation and metalation with CuI /AgI /AuI synthons affords the heteroleptic triazolylidene complexes. Due to the combination of neutral, electron-donating ferrocenyl substituents and cationic, strongly electron-withdrawing cobaltocenium substituents, the mesoionic carbene (MIC) ligands of these complexes are electronically interesting "push-pull", "pull-push" and "pull-pull" metalloligands with further switchable redox states based on their fully reversible FeII /FeIII , (ferrocene/ferrocenium) and CoIII /CoII , (cobaltocenium/cobaltocene) redox couples. These are the first examples of metal complexes of (di)cationic NHC ligands based on cobaltoceniumyl substituents. DFT calculated Tolman electronic parameter (TEP) of the new MIC ligands, show these metalloligands to be extremely electron-poor NHCs with properties unmatched in other carbene chemistry. Utilization of these multimetallic electronically tunable compounds in catalytic oxazoline synthesis and in antitumor studies are presented. Remarkably, 1 mol % of the AuI complex with the dicationic MIC ligand displays full catalytic conversion, without the need for any other additives, in less than 2 hours at ambient temperatures. These results thus firmly establish these new classes of cobaltoceniumyl based (di)cationic MIC ligands as prominent players in several branches of chemistry.

Abstract
A series of 3,6-bis(4-triazolyl)pyridazines equipped with terminal phenyl substituents with varying degree of fluorination were synthesized by using the facile copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition and their structures were thoroughly investigated in the gas phase, in solution, and in the solid state by employing DFT calculations, NMR spectroscopy, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction, respectively. On the molecular level, their structure is governed by the strong preference of the triazole-pyridazine linkages for the anti-conformation. The supramolecular organization of the molecules in the crystalline solid is controlled by π-stacking, C-H⋅⋅⋅π as well as C-F⋅⋅⋅H interactions. The latter can conveniently be tuned by the number and position of fluorine substituents in the terminal phenyl units, giving rise to either herringbone-like, 1D or 2D lamellar packing. Electrochemistry and optical spectroscopy of all compounds suggest that they might find use as electron-transporting/hole-blocking materials in organic electronics.
