Abstract
Catalyst-controlled regiodivergent [3 + 2] annulations of aurones and allenoates have been developed. When a dipeptide phosphine catalyst with an l-d- configuration was employed, α-selective [3 + 2] annulation products could be obtained with good regioselectivities and enantioselectivities. With the employment of l-l- dipeptide phosphines, γ-selective annulation products could be selectively obtained with excellent enantioselectivities. By simply tuning the catalyst configurations, a wide range of α-selective or γ-selective spirocyclic benzofuranones with either aryl or alkyl substitutions could be readily prepared. DFT calculations suggest that the conformation of the dipeptide phosphines influences the hydrogen bonding interactions or the distortion energy, resulting in delicate energy differentiation in the transition states, and accounting for the observed regioselectivity.

Abstract
Enantioselective intramolecular [3 + 2] annulation of chalcones bearing an allene moiety has been successfully developed. The reaction was effectively promoted by amino acid-derived phosphines, in combination with achiral Brønsted acids. Dihydrocoumarin architectures were constructed in high yields and with excellent enantiomeric excesses. Theoretical studies via DFT calculations revealed that the hydrogen bonding network induced by achiral Brønsted acids/chiral phosphines could more efficiently distinguish between two enantioselective pathways, thus leading to enhanced enantioselectivity.

Abstract
A [3 + 2] annulation of α-substituted secondary β-ketoamides with δ-acetoxy-modified allenoate has been developed in the presence of phosphine catalyst. In this spiroannulation reaction, β-ketoamides were used as the bis-nucleophilic partner while the γ,δ-carbon of 5-acetoxypenta-2,3-dienoate participated as a C2 synthon, affording the desired functionalized five-membered N-heterocyclic derivatives in moderate to excellent yields and diastereoselectivities under mild conditions. Preliminary attempts on the asymmetric variant of this reaction have been also examined, giving the corresponding products with moderate ee values.

Abstract
The diastereoselective formation of adjacent P,C-stereogenic β-N-glycosidic linked α-aminophosphinates is developed in high yields via a phospha-Mannich reaction. The reaction was performed by employing (Rp)-O-(-)-menthyl H-phenylphosphinate and O-pivaloylated N-galactosylimine for double stereodifferentiation and BF3·Et2O as a promoter in THF. O-Pivaloylated N-galactosylphenyl imine 2 and (Rp)-O-(-)-menthyl H-phenylphosphinate 1 were converted to N-galactosyl α-aminoalkylphosphinate 3 with ratios of diastereomers up to 20:1. The synthetic method of the conversion provides a rapid access to adjacent P,C-stereogenic chiral α-aminophosphinates.

Abstract
Unprecedented PPh3-mediated [4 + 2]- and [4 + 1]-annulation of maleimides with in situ formed azoalkenes have been successfully developed, affording fused tetrahydropyridazine/pyrrolidinedione and spiro-dihydropyrazole/pyrrolidinedione derivatives in good yields under mild reaction conditions. Maleimides serve as C2 synthons in the [4 + 2]-annulation using 1,2-dichloroethane as the solvent in the presence of 20 mol % of PPh3. With a stoichiometric amount of PPh3 in acetone, maleimides serve as C1 synthons, and the in situ formed phosphorus ylide is the key intermediate to realize this [4 + 1]-annulation.

Abstract
The Rauhut–Currier (RC) reaction represents an efficient method for the construction of carbon–carbon bond in organic synthesis. However, the RC reactions involving allenoate substrates are very rare, and in particular, asymmetric intramolecular RC reaction of allenoates is yet to be discovered. Here, we show that the intramolecular RC reaction proceeds smoothly in the presence of 1 mol% β-ICD, and bicyclic lactones are obtained in high yields and with excellent enantiomeric excesses. With the employment of γ-substituted allenoates as racemic precursors, a novel dynamic kinetic resolution of allenes via RC reaction is observed, which allows for facile synthesis of highly enantiomerically enriched allenes. The Rauhut-Currier reaction is a powerful method to form carbon-carbon bonds. Here, the authors report an enantioselective intramolecular variant between alkenes and allenoates, giving access to highly functionalised bicyclic lactones in excellent enantiomeric excess.

Abstract
A novel and efficient phosphine-catalyzed intramolecular cyclization of α-nitroethylallenic esters is reported. This process appears to be practical for the stereoselective syntheses of (Z)-furan-2(3H)-one oxime derivatives in excellent yields. Mechanistically, the reaction involves a phosphine-catalyzed Michael addition of an alkylideneazinate and rearrangement of the cyclic nitronate to the α-nitrosodihydrofuran.

Abstract
The enantioselective intermolecular cross Rauhut-Currier reaction of acrolein with active olefins has been a long-standing challenge because of the competitive MBH reaction and polymerization. Herein a highly enantioselective intermolecular cross Rauhut-Currier reaction of acrolein with 3-acyl acrylates and 2-ene-1,4-diones, which is enabled by newly designed Peng-Phos catalysts. This method is scalable and highly enantioselective (up to 96% ee). Several transformations of the R-C products are carried out to showcase the synthetic utility.

Abstract
A highly enantioselective α-amination of 3-substituted oxindoles with azodicarboxylates catalyzed by amino acids-derived chiral phosphine catalysts is reported. The corresponding products containing a tetrasubstituted carbon center attached to a nitrogen atom at the C-3 position of the oxindole were obtained in high yields and with up to 98% ee.
