Abstract
Beauty lies in simplicity: An efficient and environmentally benign palladium-catalyzed protocol has been developed using a sulfinate as a nucleophilic coupling partner. The sulfinate position is arylated chemoselectively in very good yields. The bench-stable, non-hygroscopic heteroaromatic sulfinate salts rapidly undergo cross-coupling without the need of a co-catalyst, base, or additives (see scheme; mw = microwave).

Abstract
A nickel-catalyzed decarbonylative C-H biaryl coupling of azoles and aryl esters is described. The newly developed catalytic system does not require the use of expensive metal catalysts or silver- or copper-based stoichiometric oxidants. We have successfully applied this new C-H arylation reaction to a convergent formal synthesis of muscoride A.

Abstract
A series of substituted quinolines was prepared from arylamines, aldehydes, and terminal olefins (see scheme). The palladium-catalyzed sequential formation of C-C bonds proceeds smoothly with both electron-deficient and electron-rich olefins. When acrylic acid is used as terminal olefin, decarboxylation occurs to provide 2-substituted quinolines.

Abstract
A novel microwave-assisted approach for the one-pot Cu(I)-catalyzed A(3)-coupling/decarboxylative coupling (PA(2)-coupling) of a propiolic acid, an aldehyde, and an amine, resulting in the formation of diversely substituted 1,4-diamino-2-butynes,is described. It is noteworthy that this new multicomponent coupling provides an efficient access to introduce alkyl and aryl group at the 1,4-position of the 1,4-diamino-2-butynes.
