Abstract
An efficient protocol for diazenylation of 1,3-diones under photoredox conditions is presented herein. C-N bond forming Csp3 -H functionalization of cyclic and alkyl diones by unstable aryl diazenyl radicals is achieved through reaction with aryldiazonium tetrafluoroborates by organocatalysts under visible light irradiation. The reaction has wide substrate scope, gives excellent yields, and is also efficient in water as a green solvent. This method provides an easy access to aryldiazenyl derivatives that are useful key starting materials for the synthesis of aza heterocycles as well as potential pharmacophores.

Abstract
AbstractA gold-catalysed coupling of aryldiazonium salts with arylboronic acids is described. The reactions proceed in satisfactory yields under irradiation with blue LEDs in the presence of KF and a catalytic amount of ascorbic acid. Notably, 4-nitrobenzendiazonium tetrafluoroborate is sufficiently reactive to undergo the coupling with a variety of arylboronic acids in the absence of aryl radical initiators. The coupling is applicable for electron-donating and electron-withdrawing groups present at the para, ortho, and meta positions of both substrates.

Abstract
Metal nanoparticles have been deeply studied in the last few decades due to their attractive physical and chemical properties, finding a wide range of applications in several fields. Among them, well-defined nano-structures can combine the main advantages of heterogeneous and homogeneous catalysts. Especially, catalyzed multi-step processes for the production of added-value chemicals represent straightforward synthetic methodologies, including tandem and sequential reactions that avoid the purification of intermediate compounds. In particular, palladium- and copper-based nanocatalysts are often applied, becoming a current strategy in the sustainable synthesis of fine chemicals. The rational tailoring of nanosized materials involving both those immobilized on solid supports and liquid phases and their applications in organic synthesis are herein reviewed.

Abstract
Pd-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions have become essential tools for the construction of carbon-carbon and carbon-heteroatom bonds. Over the last three decades, great efforts have been made with cross-coupling chemistry in the discovery, development, and commercialization of innovative new pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals (mainly herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides). In view of the growing interest in both modern crop protection and cross-coupling chemistry, this review gives a comprehensive overview of the successful applications of various Pd-catalyzed cross-coupling methodologies, which have been implemented as key steps in the synthesis of agrochemicals (on R&D and pilot-plant scales) such as the Heck, Suzuki, Sonogashira, Stille, and Negishi reactions, as well as decarboxylative, carbonylative, α-arylative, and carbon-nitrogen bond bond-forming cross-coupling reactions. Some perspectives and challenges for these catalytic coupling processes in the discovery of agrochemicals are briefly discussed in the final section. The examples chosen demonstrate that cross-coupling chemistry approaches open-up new, low-cost, and more efficient industrial routes to existing agrochemicals, and such methods also have the capability to lead the new generation of pesticides with novel modes of action for sustainable crop protection.

Abstract
Heck arylation with allylic alcohol is extremely challenging due to chemo-, regio-, and stereoselective scrambling. Here we report a mild protocol for the alcohol selective β- and α-arylation of allylic and cinnamyl alcohols respectively with aryldiazonium salts. The steric and electronic parameters of the alkene play a prominent role in the regioselectivity.

Abstract
A tandem sequence involving palladium-catalyzed sequential Heck-reduction-cyclization transformations in mild conditions has been developed for the synthesis of oxindoles. The protocol involves inexpensive reagents and does not require any additives such as base or ligands.

Abstract
The development of sustainable organometallic chemistry is one of the many challenges that chemists must address to solve environmental issues. Until now, the classical approach was to develop highly selective homogeneous catalysts for a single transformation. However, a new area of research focuses on the execution of two or more reactions in the same vessel using heterogeneous multitask catalysts. This approach results in a reduced number of operations leading to time and cost benefits. Moreover, owing to the scarcity of natural resources and the recent dramatic cost increase of these resources and metals, the development of recyclable heterogeneous catalysts is urgent. This Minireview focuses on the latest developments in tandem reactions promoted by heterogeneous multitask catalysts.
