Abstract
A palladium-catalyzed [4 + 1] annulation of N-arylimidoyl chlorides with β-keto esters has been developed. In the presence of Pd(OAc)2, PCy3, and K3PO4, a variety of fluoalkyl-containing N-arylimidoyl chlorides smoothly underwent the cascade C-H imidoylation/deacylative Heck-type reactions to afford biologically important 2-fluoroalkyl indoles in moderate to good yields.

Abstract
Reaching the formidable C-H corners has been one of the top priorities of organic chemists in the recent past. This prompted us to disclose herein a vicinal annulation of 2-iodo benzoates, indoles, and carbazoles with N-embedded 1,6-enynes through 7-/8-membered palladacycles. The relay does not require the assistance of any directing group, leading to multicyclic scaffolds, which are readily diversified to an array of adducts (with new functional tethers and/or three contiguous stereocenters), in which we showcase a rare benzylic mono-oxygenation.

Abstract
Perfluoroalkylated indoles are valuable compounds in drug discovery. A Pd(0)-catalyzed C(sp(3))-H functionalization enables access to 2-(trifluoromethyl)indoles from trifluoroacetimidoyl chlorides. These are stable compounds, easily obtained from anilines. The cyclization operates with catalyst loadings as low as 1 mol % and accommodates a variety of substituents.

Abstract
A highly efficient method for the synthesis of fluorine-containing multisubstituted phenanthridines through Rh-catalyzed alkyne [2+2+2] cycloaddition reactions has been developed. This method exhibits excellent functional-group compatibility. When a bromodifluoromethyl group, rather than a trifluoromethyl group, was employed in the cycloaddition reaction, more-complicated polycyclic compounds were obtained through tandem Rh-catalyzed cycloaddition/C-H difluoromethylenation. This route provides convenient access to fluorine-containing polycyclic compounds.
