Abstract
Electron-rich and hindered aryl chlorides are the most challenging substrates in Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling (SMC) reactions. Herein, we report a highly efficient catalytic system for the SMC reaction using trace amounts of commercially available catalysts [Pd(PPh3)4/(t-Bu)PCy2; Pd loading as low as 9.5 × 10-5 mol%]. This catalytic system can efficiently couple deactivated and sterically hindered aryl chlorides with various substituted phenylboronic acids, even in one-pot multiple coupling reactions (yield of products up to 92%). The impact of solvents on SMC reactions and the mechanisms of by-product formation in aryl boronic acid couplings are analyzed using density functional theory (DFT). Utilizing trace amounts of commercially available catalysts avoids complex synthesis, reduces costs, and minimizes metal residues.

Abstract
In this study, a new palladium nanocatalyst was supported on l-threonine functionalized magnetic mesocellular silica foams (MMCF@Thr-Pd) and was characterized by FT-IR, XRD, BET, SEM, EDS, VSM, TGA, ICP-OES and elemental mapping techniques. The obtained MMCF@Thr-Pd performance can show excellent catalytic activity for Stille, Suzuki, and Heck coupling reactions, and the corresponding products were obtained with high yields. More importantly, the efficient and stable MMCF@Thr-Pd nanocatalyst was recovered by applying an external magnetic field and reused for at least five consecutive runs without a change in the catalytic activity.

Abstract
Hiyama cross-coupling is a versatile reaction in synthetic organic chemistry for the construction of carbon-carbon bonds. It involves the coupling of organosilicons with organic halides using transition metal catalysts in good yields and high enantioselectivities. In recent years, hectic progress has been made by researchers toward the synthesis of diversified natural products and pharmaceutical drugs using the Hiyama coupling reaction. This review emphasizes the recent synthetic developments and applications of Hiyama cross-coupling.

Abstract
In this project, the aim was to carry out the Suzuki reaction using a new and unique catalyst with a base of Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles coated using a new ligand. In fact, this magnetic catalyst has an inhomogeneous surface to create a connection between the organic and aqueous phases so that the carbon–carbon coupling reaction is completely performed on its large surface. The structure of this catalyst uses two metals, nickel and cobalt, which are coated on a bed of amino linkers and propel the Suzuki coupling reaction at high speed on the catalyst surface. The products obtained are from ideal and optimal conditions with an efficiency of over 98%. The catalyst has a recovery power of over 96% and has enough power to perform several coupling reactions several times. Lastly, the magnetic nanocatalyst is easily separated from the reaction medium by an external field and has 100% power when performing other reactions.

Abstract
The chemistry of multinuclear metal complexes bearing by N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) ligands, is an area of fast growing interest in modern organometallic chemistry. In particular, complexes supported by mesoionic (MIC) 1,2,3-triazolylidenes are attracting a great deal attention due to their postulated superior donor capacity compared to classical NHC ligands. Despite the readily available synthetic routes to MIC-based ligand platforms featuring several substitution levels, most of the coordination chemistry of triazolylidenes is still dominated by mononuclear complexes. In this short review article, recent progress on the design and synthesis of multinuclear triazolylidene complexes (ranging from di- to tetranuclear species) is discussed. Special emphasis is placed on their structural features, electronic properties and catalytic applications.

Abstract
N,N'-Substituted di-isopropyl (NHC-1), benzyl-isopropyl (NHC-2), and adamantyl-isopropyl (NHC-3) benzimidazolium salts react with palladium(II) bromide in pyridine to afford the corresponding trans-dibromidopyridinepalladium(II) complexes Pd-C1, Pd-C2, and Pd-C3 in high yields. A distorted square planar geometry for Pd-C2 and Pd-C3 was confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The palladium(II) complexes show a remarkably higher catalytic activity and selectivity, compared to the literature data, in carbonylative Sonogashira coupling reactions of aryl iodides and aryl diiodides with aryl alkynes, alkyl alkynes, and dialkynes. Excellent yields with as low as 0.03 mol % loading of the catalyst were obtained. In the series of benzimidazolium (NHC) precursors, the 1H NMR signals of the α hydrogen show a consistent probing of the N-substituent donor strength. The density functional theory (DFT) quantum mechanical descriptors of the frontier orbitals were calculated. A linear correlation of the calculated absolute softness of the complexes versus the calculated percent buried volume (%V bur) of their corresponding ligands was obtained. The catalytic activity experimental data are consistent with the hard soft acid base (HSAB)-predicted high affinity of the softest Pd-C3 complex for soft substrates, such as aryl iodides.

Abstract
We report the preparation and full characterization of a series of hydroxyl functionalized 1,2,3-triazolylidene-based PEPPSI complexes 2a-c and their catalytic application in the Suzuki cross coupling reaction of aryl chlorides/amides with boronic acids. Under basic reaction conditions, complexes 2a-c show a notable increase in their catalytic efficiency compared with two ether-wingtip functionalized PEPPSI analogues (3 and 4) and a commercially available NHC-Pd complex (5). The catalytic results suggest that deprotonation of the hydroxyl group in complexes 2a-c plays an important role in the overall process. Deprotonation of the alcohol moiety of complexes 2a-b with sodium tert-butoxide allows for the isolation of metallacycles 6a-b, which are proposed as the active species of cross coupling reactions.

Abstract
"Channel-like" self-assembled monolayers having aliphatic and aromatic diimines (denoted as Si@1DIS, Si@2DIS and Si@3DIS) immobilized on substrates and their palladacycle monolayers (Si@1DIS-Pd, Si@2DIS-Pd and Si@3DIS-Pd) were prepared and characterized. Their catalytic performances were investigated using the Suzuki coupling reaction as a model. Si@3DIS-Pd showed the highest catalytic activity in water without ligands, and better recyclability than that of Si@2DIS-Pd and Si@1DIS-Pd. The reason was the carbon in the aliphatic diimine of Si@2DIS-Pd and Si@1DIS-Pd was easily hydrolyzed because of the active hydrogen of α-C, resulting in poor recyclability. Control of the amount of catalyst could be achieved by modulating the diameter of the channel-like structure, which also affected the catalytic activity. The catalytic process and mechanism were investigated systematically and proposed based on the experimental results obtained by the water contact angle, ultraviolet spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry and atomic force spectroscopy. Changes in the morphology of monolayer surfaces during the catalytic process with or without stirring presented a clear process from order to disorder, and indicated that the reaction was a heterogeneous catalytic process occurring on the surface of the catalyst monolayer.
