Abstract
We report the stereocontrolled synthesis of 1,6-diazecanes via a tandem aza-Prins type reaction of N-acyliminium ions with allylsilanes. It involves an aza-Prins type dimerization and cyclization in a single-step operation. This reaction represents the first example of 10-membered N-heterocycle synthesis using an aza-Prins reaction. Also, the interesting formation of an unusual tetracyclic compound through further cyclization of 1,6-diazecane and bicyclic compounds by the intramolecular cyclization of linear allylsilane are described. This tandem aza-Prins protocol provides a new synthetic strategy for the direct synthesis of medium-sized nitrogen heterocycles.

Abstract
In this report, we describe an alkynyl halo-aza-Prins cyclization of 3-hydroxyisoindolones to prepare aza-Prins products. These Prins adducts undergo oxidation at the 3-isoindolone position after activation of the amide by triflic anhydride and 2-chloropyridine to form a pentadienyl cation capable of undergoing a halo-Nazarov cyclization. Using this methodology, angular-fused N-heterocyclic small molecules with two new rings, two new carbon-carbon bonds, a vinyl halide, and an aza-tertiary stereocenter can be obtained in good yields.

Abstract
Heterocyclic compounds are the largely diverse organic molecules and find
prevalent applications in the fine chemical industry, medicinal chemistry and agricultural
science. They are also among the most commonly bearing frameworks in numerous drugs
and pharmaceutical substances. Therefore, the development of convenient, efficient and
environmentally benign methods to produce various types of heterocyclic compounds is
an attractive area of research. For the synthesis and functionalization of heterocycles,
enormous achievements have been attributed over the past decades. Recently, ironcatalyzed
reactions have accomplished a noteworthy development in the synthesis of
heterocycles. This review highlights some remarkable achievements in the iron-catalyzed
synthesis of heterocyclic compounds published in the last five years.

Abstract
A novel acetic acid-promoted metal-free cascade N-acyliminium ion/aza-Prins cyclization of o-formyl carbamates and homoallylamines is reported. This one-pot protocol provides efficient and rapid access to masked cis-hydroxyhexahydropyrido[1,2-c]quinazolin-6-ones with concomitant generation of two stereogenic centers, four C-C/C-O/C-N bonds and two new rings in good yield and excellent diastereoselectivity.
