Abstract
α-Chloromethylketimines have been obtained through a gold-catalyzed hydroamination of aromatic and aliphatic 1-chloroalkynes with aromatic amines by using equimolar amounts of both reagents. This procedure has allowed the preparation and spectroscopic characterization of α-chloromethylketimines for the first time with a high degree of purity, complete conversion, and atom economy. The synthetic usefulness of the methodology has been demonstrated with the preparation of β-chloroamines and indoles.

Abstract
An overview of the current state of mechanistic understanding of gold-catalyzed intermolecular alkyne hydrofunctionalization reactions is presented. Moving from the analysis of the main features of the by-now-generally accepted reaction mechanism, studies and evidences pointing out the mechanistic peculiarities of these reactions using different nucleophiles HNu that add to the alkyne triple bond are presented and discussed. The effects of the nature of the employed alkyne substrate and of the gold catalyst (employed ligands, counteranions, gold oxidation state), of additional additives and of the reaction conditions are also considered. Aim of this work is to provide the reader with a detailed mechanistic knowledge of this important reaction class, which will be invaluable for rapidly developing and optimizing synthetic protocols involving a gold-catalyzed alkyne hydrofunctionalization as a reaction step.

Abstract
This review continues consideration of the regioselectivity problem in the catalyzed hydrofunctionalization of unsaturated organic compounds and addresses hydroamination of unsaturated hydrocarbons. Particular parts of the review deal with reactions of alkenes, alkynes, allenes and dienes. It is shown that the selectivity of hydroamination depends on the natures of the reactants and the catalyst. Conditions of the reactions are described; in some cases, reaction mechanisms are discussed. Reactions for which divergent regioselectivity is possible are noted.

Abstract
The hydroamination reaction is a convenient alternative strategy for the formation of C–N bonds. Herein, we report a new versatile and convenient protocol for the hydroamination of arylacetylenes with anilines using palladium iodide in the absence of any added ligand as catalyst. Mild conditions, excellent regio- and stereoselectivity, and high functional group tolerance are the main features of this methodology. A subsequent reduction step gives access to a wide variety of secondary aromatic amines.

Abstract
A facile synthesis of Z-enamides via heterogeneous Au/TiO2 catalyzed stereoselective hydrogenation of ynamides has been developed. Easy to handle and inexpensive ammonium formate was used as the hydrogen source, and Z-enamides were formed in a highly stereoselective manner. The commercially available gold nanoparticle catalyst could be recycled multiple times without a significant loss of activity.

Abstract
Indole is the most frequently found heterocyclic core structures in pharmaceuticals, natural products, agrochemicals, dyes and fragrances. For about 150 years, chemists were absorbed in finding new and easier synthetic strategies to build this nucleus. Many books and reviews have been written, but the number of new syntheses that appear in the literature, make necessary continuous updates. This reviews aims to give a comprehensive overview on indole synthesis catalyzed by transition metals appeared in the literature in the years 2016 and 2017.

Abstract
Design, control, and direct characterization of surface properties are prerequisites to all the practical applications of nanoparticles. Since stable and homogeneous colloidal conditions are required for most applications, the amenability of nanoparticles to in-solution processing must also be addressed. Herein, we demonstrate that solution 1H NMR spectroscopy is an effective tool for direct monitoring of the production of Ag nanoparticles. The production consists of two stages, complexation and reduction, which are both clearly observed by 1H NMR spectroscopy. Design and synthesis of a series of amphiphilic amines have led to the one-step production of "flexibly" stable colloidal Ag nanoparticles, which form clear stable brown solutions in a wide range of solvents.

Abstract
![]()
A novel chlorinating reagent with
a high concentration of HCl has
enabled the highly regioselective hydrochlorination of unactivated
alkynes using a commercial nanogold catalyst. No overchlorination
or hydration products were formed, and various functional groups were
tolerated. This hydrochlorination method could be conducted under
open air.
