Abstract
A highly functionalized 9,9-disubstituted (phenylethynyl)-fluorene-appended N-methyl-7-azaindole derivatives has been synthesized from various fluorene propargylic alcohols and substituted-7-azaindoles using BF3OEt2 as a catalyst. The scope of the reaction was demonstrated by selecting a range of fluorene propargylic alcohols and substituting 7-azaindoles. A plausible reaction mechanism for forming title compounds via propargylic carbocation is postulated. The synthetic transformation of the products has been demonstrated by the Suzuki coupling and Click reaction. The Suzuki coupled compounds 5a-5e were evaluated for photophysical properties such as absorption, solvatochromism, emission, and Stokes shift and found blue emissive in nature.

Abstract
The first direct N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC)-catalyzed preparation of allylic amines bearing a quaternary center (α-tertiary amine) from isatin-derived ketimines in the presence of vinyl selenones and aldehydes is reported. This multicomponent reaction is expected to proceed via unprecedented in situ reduction of imines through a hydride transfer from the aldehydes.

Synthesis of Spiroindenyl-2-Oxindoles through Palladium-Catalyzed Spirocyclization of 2-Bromoarylamides and Vinyl Bromides. Molecules 2021; 26:molecules26247496. Abstract
An expeditious approach to the construction of spiroindenyl-2-oxindoles was developed via a palladium-catalyzed spirocyclization reaction of 2-bromoarylamides with vinyl bromides. The reaction formed spiropalladacycles as the intermediates via carbopalladation and the C–H functionalization of 2-bromoarylamides. The spiropalladacycles reacted with vinyl bromides to form spiroindenyl-2-oxindoles. A Heck process rather than vinylic C–H functionalization was involved in the reaction.

Abstract
An unambiguous and precise method for the synthesis of 3,1-benzoxathiin-4-ones/1,3-benzodioxin-4-ones by the reaction of propargylic alcohols and salicylic/thiosalicylic acids under a catalyst-free and open-air atmosphere is described. This strategy is found to be quite general using various 2-mercapto and 2-hydroxybenzoic acids providing benzoxathiinones/benzodioxinones in good yields.

Abstract
AbstractA boron trifluoride catalysed reaction of coplanar 9-(phenylethynyl)-9H-fluoren-9-ols with various 2-aminobenzamides affords a number of highly functionalized, conjugated (Z)-2-((2-(9H-fluoren-9-ylidene)-1-phenylethylidene)amino) benzamides in excellent yield. The reaction in the presence of N-bromosuccinimide affords (E)-5-bromo-2-((2-bromo-2-(9H-fluoren-9-ylidene)-1-phenylethylidene)amino)benzamides in very good yields. The scope of the reaction is demonstrated by selecting N-aryl substituted 2-aminobenzamides and aminosulfonamides as reaction partners. The structures of representative compounds were established by single-crystal XRD analysis. Based on the structure of the products, a plausible mechanism via formation of allene carbocation intermediates is proposed.
