Abstract
Selective C-F bond cleavage of polyfluoroarenes has attracted tremendous interest due to its promising applications in introducing fluorinated building blocks into organic molecules. However, it remains a challenge to achieve highly site-selective C-F bond cleavage because of the intrinsic inertness of the C-F bond and the difficulty in distinguishing specific C-F bonds on the aromatic ring. Herein we report an efficient nucleophilic aromatic substitution (SNAr) reaction of polyfluoroarenes with Grignard reagents that employs MnFe-based bimetallic metal-organic coordination polymers (MOCPs) as recyclable and reusable heterogeneous catalysts. Significantly, in this reaction, the prepared MOCP (Mn-Fe) catalyst exhibited excellent activity in selective C-F bond cleavage and afforded a series of functionalized polyfluoroarenes in moderate to excellent yields (up to 96%). This work highlights the potential of MOCP catalysts to serve as a tunable platform in Lewis acid catalysis.

Abstract
Developing powerful methods to introduce versatile functional groups at the N-substituents of isoquinolone scaffolds is still a great challenge. Herein, we report a novel three-component cascade annulation reaction to efficiently construct the N-oxopropyl chain of isoquinolone derivatives via rhodium(iii)-catalyzed C-H activation/cyclization/nucleophilic attack, with oxazoles used both as the directing group and potential functionalized reagents.

Abstract
The Ni-catalyzed reaction of ortho-phenoxy-substituted aromatic amides with alkynes in the presence of LiOtBu as a base results in C–O/N–H annulation with the formation of 1(2H)-isoquinolinones. The use of a base is essential for the reaction to proceed. The reaction proceeds, even in the absence of a ligand, and under mild reaction conditions (40 °C). An electron-donating group on the aromatic ring facilitates the reaction. The reaction was also applicable to carbamate (C–O bond activation), methylthio (C–S bond activation), and cyano (C–CN bond activation) groups as leaving groups. The Ni-catalyzed reaction of ortho-phenoxy-substituted aromatic amides with alkynes in the presence of LiOtBu as a base results in C–O/N–H annulation with the formation of 1(2H)-isoquinolinones.![]()

Abstract
Cascade cyclocarbopalladation of the readily available aryl/alkyl-substituted propargylic amides containing an aryl iodide moiety, followed by Suzuki–Miyaura coupling with arylboronic acids, allowed an efficient regio- and stereoselective synthesis of tetrasubstituted 4-methylene-3,4-dihydroisoquinolin-1(2H)-ones. Moreover, cascade cyclocarbopalladation, followed by the reaction with 2-alkynyltrifluoroacetanilides, accomplished a double cyclization to afford challenging 4-methylene-3,4-dihydroisoquinolin-1(2H)-ones bearing a 3-indolyl substituent through aminopalladation/reductive elimination.

Abstract
An efficient, metal free and environment friendly synthesis of isoquinoline-fused benzimidazole has been developed via in situ air oxidation. Also, syntheses of isoquinoline-fused quinazolinone heteroacenes were successfully achieved. The synthesized isoquinoline-fused benzimidazole and isoquinoline-fused quinazolinone derivatives showed λmax, Fmax and Φf values in the ranges 356-394 nm, 403-444 nm and 0.063-0.471, respectively, in CHCl3.
