Abstract
A simple, efficient and mild methodology for the synthesis of 1,3,2-benzodiazaborininones [R-B(aam)] from boronic acids and anthranilamides on ethyl acetate is described. A series of 1,3,2-benzodiazaborininones were prepared in moderate to excellent yields at room temperature without dehydrating agents, metal catalysts, corrosive acids or other additives. Meanwhile, a multi-gram scale reaction is also performed to ensure the scalability of the reaction, and the product can be conveniently isolated by simple filtration.

Abstract
A green and efficient method for the synthesis of oxadiazaborole, dioxazaborinine, and oxadiazaborinine from the reactions of phenylboronic acid with amidoxime, α-hydroxyl oxime and α-hydroxyl hydrazone, respectively, is described. The reactions were performed under catalyst-free and mild conditions. All products can be rapidly purified by filtration and washing. In addition, a set of iminoboronates were prepared following a one-pot multicomponent reaction procedure using α-hydroxyl hydrazone, salicylaldehyde and boronic acid derivatives as starting materials and their photophysical properties were assessed. Then, cross-coupling reactions can be carried out smoothly on some target compounds, which may help develop new boron masking strategies.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Aminomethylphenol molecules have wider applications in pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, plant protection and promising functional materials. The development of an efficient and practical method to prepare this class of compound is highly desirable from both environmental and economical points of view. MATERIALS AND METHODS In order to establish an effective synthetic method for preparing aminomethylphenol derivatives, the Petasis borono-Mannich reaction of salicylaldehyde, phenylboronic acid and 1,2,3,4- tetrahydroisoquinoline was selected as a model reaction. A variety of reaction conditions are investigated, including solvent and temperature. The generality and limitation of the established method were also evaluated. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION It was found that model reaction can be carried out in cyclopentyl methyl ether at 80 oC under catalyst-free conditions. This protocol, with broad substrate applicability, the reaction of various arylboronic acid, secondary amine and salicylaldehyde proceeded smoothly under optimal reaction conditions to afford various aminomethylphenol derivatives in high yields. A practical, scalable, and high-yielding synthesis of aminomethylphenol derivatives was successfully accomplished. CONCLUSION A catalyst-free practical method for the synthesis of minomethylphenol derivatives based on Petasis borono-Mannich (PBM) reaction of various arylboronic acid, secondary amine and salicylaldehyde in cyclopentyl methyl ether has been developed. The salient features of this protocol are avoidance of any additive/catalyst and toxic organic solvents, use of cyclopentyl methyl ether as the reaction medium, clean reaction profiles, easy operation, and high to excellent yield.

Abstract
Alkynyl‐B(aam) (aam=anthranilamidato) derivatives are readily available bench‐stable compounds that undergo remarkably selective reactions with Bu3SnH in the presence of [Cp*RuCl]4 as the catalyst. The addition follows a stereochemically unorthodox trans‐selective course; in terms of regioselectivity, the Bu3Sn‐ unit is delivered with high fidelity to the C‐atom of the triple bond adjacent to the boracyclic head group (“alpha, trans‐addition”). This outcome is deemed to reflect a hydrogen bonding interaction between the protic −NH groups of the benzo‐1,3,2‐diazaborininone ring system and the polarized [Ru−Cl] bond in the loaded catalyst, which locks the substrate in place in a favorable orientation relative to the incoming reagent. The resulting isomerically (almost) pure gem‐dimetalated building blocks are amenable to numerous downstream functionalizations; most remarkable is the ability to subject the −B(aam) moiety to Suzuki‐Miyaura cross coupling without need for prior hydrolysis while keeping the adjacent Bu3Sn‐ group intact. Alternatively, the tin residue can be engaged in selective tin/halogen exchange without touching the boron substituent; the fact that the two ‐NH entities of −B(aam) do not protonate organozinc reagents and hence do not interfere with Negishi reactions of the alkenyl halides thus formed is another virtue of this so far underutilized boracycle. Overall, the ruthenium catalyzed trans‐hydrostannation of alkynyl‐B(aam) derivatives opens a practical gateway to isomerically pure trisubstituted alkenes of many different substitution patterns by sequential functionalization of the 1‐alkenyl‐1,1‐heterobimetallic adducts primarily formed.

Abstract
The 2-aryl-2,3-dihydrobenzodiazaborinin-4(1H)-ones (azaborininone) were synthesized as analogues of the 2-arylquinazoline-4-ones and screened through enzymatic assay in vitro for inhibitory effect against α-glucosidase and α-amylase activities. These azaborininones exhibited moderate to good inhibitory effect against these enzymes compared to acarbose used as a reference standard. The results are supported by the enzyme-ligand interactions through kinetics (in vitro) and molecular docking (in silico) studies. The test compounds also exhibited significant antioxidant activity through the 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and nitric oxide (NO) free radical scavenging assays. These azaborininone derivatives exhibited no effect on the viability of the human lung cancer (A549) cell line after 24 hr and were also not toxic towards the Vero cells.

Abstract
A magnetic CdS quantum dot (Fe3 O4 /polydopamine (PDA)/CdS) was synthesized through a facile and convenient method from inexpensive starting materials. Characterization of the prepared catalyst was performed by means of FTIR spectroscopy, XRD, SEM, TEM, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, and vibrating-sample magnetometer techniques. Fe3 O4 /PDA/CdS was found to be a highly active photocatalyst for the amidation of aromatic aldehydes by using air as a clean oxidant under mild conditions. The photocatalyst can be recovered by magnetic separation and successfully reused for five cycles without considerable loss of its catalytic activity.
