Abstract
A transition-metal-free hydrosilylation of allenes is reported herein by using commercially available lithium triethylborohydride (LiHBEt3) as the catalyst. Both mono- and disubstituted allenes could be hydrosilylated with primary or secondary silanes effectively. This reaction represents an environmental and economic method to prepare (E)-allylsilanes in good yields along with decent selectivities.

Abstract
A copper-catalyzed regiodivergent hydrosilylation of a wide range of simple allenes is reported. Linear and branched allylsilanes were formed by judicious choice of solvents. Furthermore, branched allylsilanes were obtained with high enantioselectivity (up to 97% enantiomeric excess) with the aid of a C2-symmetric bisphosphine ligand in the unprecedented asymmetric allene hydrosilylation.

Abstract
A trityl-cation-initiated, silylium-ion-promoted hydrosilylation of aryl-substituted allenes is reported. Depending on the hydrosilane-to-initiator ratio, the hydrosilylation can be intercepted by an intramolecular electrophilic aromatic substitution or a Nazarov electrocyclization of an allyl-cation intermediate in the form of its endo isomer. By this, the selective formation of either the conventional 1,2-hydrosilylation product (vinylsilane) or a cyclized product (silylated indane) can be controlled.
