Abstract
An efficient and facile method has been developed for the construction of novel P-S-C and P-Se-C bonds by facilitating the three-component cross-coupling reaction of P-H bonds with elemental sulfur/selenium and vinylsulfonium salts, utilizing sodium bicarbonate as a base. This approach eliminates the need for the use of toxic and odorous active sulfur/selenium reagents and noble metals, thereby offering a new pathway for synthesizing S-phosphinothioates and Se-phosphinoselenoates via the organic conversion of inorganic sources. The reaction has showcased remarkable versatility in terms of substrate applicability, particularly for organophosphorus compounds containing P-H bonds and vinylsulfonium salt derivatives. The resulting phosphinothioation/phosphinoselenoation products can be obtained with high yield and regioselectivity. Additionally, a plausible reaction mechanism for this transformation has been proposed based on step-by-step control experiments and 31P NMR tracking analysis.

Abstract
A simple strategy for the synthesis of β-keto phosphorodithioates has been developed through the direct oxyphosphorodithiolation of vinyl azides with P4S10 and alcohols in the presence of water. The reaction is conducted at room temperature to provide a number of β-keto phosphorodithioates in moderate to good yields. This methodology has the advantages of simple operation, mild condition, broad substrate scope, and favorable group compatibility.

Abstract
Organic phosphorothioates are a class of organic compounds containing the C-S-P structural motif, known for their unique physical and chemical properties. These compounds hold significant value in various fields, including agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and materials science, particularly playing a crucial role in agrochemicals and nucleotide modification. Traditionally, phosphorothioates have been synthesized primarily through the formation of P-S bonds or direct phosphorothioation reactions from organic phosphorus sources such as P(O)H and P(O)SH. In recent years, new strategies utilizing inorganic phosphorus sources, such as P4S10 and white phosphorus (P4), have emerged as a dynamic area of research. This review highlights the latest advancements in the synthesis of phosphorothioates and phosphoropolythioates from inorganic phosphorus sources, focusing on their applicability, mechanisms, current limitations, and potential future directions.

Abstract
By tapping into the divergent reactivity of diazocarboxylates under thermal and photocatalytic conditions, we could develop chemodivergent phosphonylation protocols for α-diazocarboxylates with trialkyl phosphites. While the thermal reaction led to N-P bond formation affording phosphonylated hydrazones, the visible light-mediated reaction furnished phosphonylated aryl carboxylates through C-P bond formation. Both reactions are notable for their operational simplicity and mild conditions affording products in good yields without the requirement of a metal, base or photocatalyst.

Abstract
A photoredox/copper-catalyzed cascade radical cyclization/phosphorothiolation reaction of N-allylbromoacetamides and P(O)SH compounds has been established. A broad range of novel nonfluorine- or difluoro-substituted 2-pyrrolidinones bearing the C(sp3)-SP(O)(OR)2 moiety can be conveniently constructed in moderate to good yields under mild conditions. Importantly, most of the tested phosphorothiolated 2-pyrrolidinones showed potent inhibitory effects toward both AChE and BChE.

Abstract
Phosphorodithioates are important substructures due to their great use in bioactive compounds and functional materials. A metal-free 1,5-addition of spirovinylcyclopropyl oxindoles have been developed by choosing P4S10 and alcohol as nucleophiles through the regioselective ring-opening of spirovinylcyclopropyl oxindoles. This method provides access to allylic organothiophosphates with high efficiency, wide functional group tolerance, good chemo- and regioselectivity, and E-selectivity. 1,3-Addition products were also prepared in high yield. Furthermore, the resulting organothiophosphates could be readily transformed into other allylic derivatives.

Abstract
Herein, we present the first mild, one-step direct synthesis of mixed phosphorothioates through selective generation of O-P(O)-S bonds at rt under additive-free condition. Further, reactions of different model natural products with 1,1-dichloro-N,N-diisopropylphosphanamine helped to present an alternative dimerization strategy. The synthetic utility of the methodology was extended for the synthesis of mixed phosphoroselenoates as well. The potential of the reaction was further demonstrated for the synthesis of mixed phosphorothioate bearing two different alcohols.

Abstract
A photoredox and copper-catalyzed fluoroalkylphosphorothiolation of activated and unactivated alkenes via a radical relay mechanism is reported. By employing fluoroalkyl halides as radical precursors and P(O)SH or P(S)SH compounds as coupling partners, a wide range of β-monofluoroalkyl-, -difluoroalkyl-, -trifluoromethyl-, or -perfluoroalkyl-substituted S-alkyl phosphorothioates and phosphorodithioates can be easily constructed under mild conditions with good functional group tolerance. Furthermore, this modular reaction system can be successfully applied to late-stage functionalization of bioactive molecules.

Abstract
A visible-light-induced protocol for the synthesis of phosphorothioates is developed by employing the Ir-catalyzed decarboxylative phosphorothiolation of N-hydroxyphthalimide esters. This novel synthesis method utilizes carboxylic acids as raw material, which is stable, cheap, and commercially available. Scope studies show that this reaction has good compatibility of functional groups. Notably, both the synthesis of steric hindrance phosphorothioates and the later modification of some bioactive compounds are successfully achieved.

Abstract
Thiophosphorus acids R1R2P(S)OH constitute an important class of organophosphorus compounds, in which the phosphorus atom is intrinsically chiral if R1 ≠ R2. In connection with a project aimed at the preparation of chiral thiophosphorus acids, various available literature methods were considered, but few fit the requirement of odorless reagents. Herein, the results of our studies on the synthesis of thiophosphinic acids are reported. Ultimately, two major approaches were selected: (1) the Stec reaction of phosphorus amides with carbon disulfide; and (2) the one-pot synthesis of thiophosphorus acids from H-phosphinates, an organometallic nucleophile, and quenching with elemental sulfur. An application to the preparation of a potential chiral phosphorus organocatalyst is also reported.
