Abstract
The reaction of alkene-tethered trifluoroacetimidoyl chlorides with trialkyl phosphites furnishes 1-amino-2,2,2-trifluoroalkylphosphonates. The products were generated in moderate to good yields, and the scalability of this process was showcased. Partial hydrolysis of the phosphonate moiety was achieved. The cyclization is proposed to occur via formation of an imidoyl phosphonate intermediate that becomes susceptible to nucleophilic attack at nitrogen through the strong electron-withdrawing groups at the imidoyl carbon.

Abstract
Here we report a protocol to synthesize diversiform fluorinated isocryptolepine analogues with potential biological activities in one step via directed C-2 and C-3 dual C-H functionalization of indoles. We also attempted to take into account fluorinated imidoyl chlorides as a novel kind of synthons in the directed C-H functionalization reactions. As a result, a variety of fluorinated isocryptolepine analogues were obtained in up to 96% yield. Moreover, we conducted control experiments to disclose the reaction mechanism.

Abstract
A novel palladium-catalyzed, norbornene-mediated intermolecular dehydrogenative annulation approach for the synthesis of 6-fluoroalkyl-phenanthridines from aryl iodides and fluorinated imidoyl chlorides, which are important structural motifs for bioactive molecules, is reported. Fluorinated imidoyl chlorides served as a new type of electrophilic reagent in the Catellani-type reaction, which, in turn, could be readily prepared from various anilines and fluorinated carboxylic acids. Control experiments were carried out to study the mechanism of the reaction. This transformation is scalable and tolerates a broad range of functional groups.
