Abstract
Combining metal complexes with amphiphilic molecules leads to a wide variety of functional self-assembled nanostructures. Metal complexes exhibiting spin transitions can be good candidates as the trigger to cause structural conversion of such assembly because they respond to various external stimuli. In this work, we studied a structural conversion of a supramolecular assembly containing a [Co2 Fe2 ] complex through a thermally induced electron transfer-coupled spin transition (ETCST). With an amphiphilic anion, the [Co2 Fe2 ] complex formed reverse vesicles in solution and showed thermal ETCST. In contrast, thermal ETCST in the presence of a bridging hydrogen-bond donor caused structural conversion from the reverse vesicle structure to entangled one-dimensional chains through hydrogen bond formation.

Abstract
The cyanidocobaltate of formula fac‐PPh4[CoIII(Me2Tp)(CN)3] ⋅ CH3CN (1) has been used as a metalloligand to prepare polynuclear magnetic complexes (Me2Tp=hydrotris(3,5‐dimethylpyrazol‐1‐yl)borate). The association of 1 with in situ prepared [FeII(bik)2(MeCN)2](OTf)2 (bik=bis(1‐methylimidazol‐2‐yl)ketone) leads to a molecular square of formula {[CoIII{(Me2Tp)}(CN)3]2[FeII(bik)2]2}(OTf)2 ⋅ 4MeCN ⋅ 2H2O (2), whereas the self‐assembly of 1 with preformed cluster [CoII2(OH2)(piv)4(Hpiv)4] in MeCN leads to the two‐dimensional network of formula {[CoII2(piv)3]2[CoIII(Me2Tp)(CN)3]2 ⋅ 2CH3CN}∞ (3). These compounds were structurally characterized via single crystal X‐ray analysis and their spectroscopic (FTIR, UV‐Vis and 59Co NMR) properties and magnetic behaviours were also investigated. Bulk magnetic susceptibility measurements reveal that 1 is diamagnetic and 3 is paramagnetic throughout the explored temperature range, whereas 2 exhibits sharp spin transition centered at ca. 292 K. Compound 2 also exhibits photomagnetic effects at low temperature, selective light irradiations allowing to promote reversibly and repeatedly low‐spin⇔high‐spin conversion. Besides, the diamagnetic nature of the Co(III) building block allows us studying these compounds by means of 59Co NMR spectroscopy. Herein, a 59Co chemical shift has been used as a magnetic probe to corroborate experimental magnetic data obtained from bulk magnetic susceptibility measurements. An influence of the magnetic state of the neighbouring atoms is observed on the 59Co NMR signals. Moreover, for the very first time, 59Co NMR technique has been successfully introduced to investigate molecular materials with distinct magnetic properties.

Cooperative Spin Transitions Triggered by Phonons in Metal Complexes Coupled to Molecular Vibrations. MAGNETOCHEMISTRY 2022. Abstract
The present article is a short overview of the theoretical modeling of spin transitions in polymetallic compounds. As distinguished from many insightful reviews on this topic, the present work is focused on the nature of cooperative interaction of the metal clusters in molecular crystals with emphasis at the physical role of molecular vibrations and phonons. The underlying model assumes that the cooperativity is triggered by phonons while the metal centers are coupled to molecular vibrations. It is demonstrated that the suggested model gives a satisfactory description of the observed spin transitions in mono-, bi- and tetranuclear compounds. In the framework of the described approach, we discuss the experimental data on spin crossover in the mononuclear [Fe(ptz)6](BF4)2, binuclear [{Fe(bt)(NCS)2}2bpym] and tetranuclear [Fe(tpa){N(CN)2}]4·(BF4)4·(H2O)2 compounds containing iron ions. The approach is also applied to the description of the charge-transfer-induced spin transition in the [{(Tp)Fe(CN)3}{Co-(PY5Me2)}](CF3SO3) complex.

Abstract
Manipulation of multi-functions in molecular materials is promising for future switching and memory devices, although is currently difficult. Herein, we assembled the asymmetric {Fe2Co} unit into a cyanide-bridged mixed-valence chain {[(Tp)Fe(CN)3]2Co(BIT)}·2CH3OH (1) (Tp = hydrotris(pyrazolyl)borate and BIT = 3,4-bis-(1H-imidazol-1-yl)thiophen), which showed reversible multi-phase transitions accompanied by the photo-switchable single-chain magnet property and dielectric anomalies. Variable temperature X-ray structural studies revealed thermo-and photo-induced selective electron transfer (ET) between the Co and one of the Fe ions. Alternating-current magnetic susceptibility studies revealed that 1 displayed on and off of the single-chain magnet behavior by alternating 946-nm and 532-nm light irradiations. A substantial anomaly in dielectric constant was discovered during the electron transfer process, which is uncommon in similar ET complexes. These findings illustrate that 1 provided a new platform for multi-phase transitions and multi-switches adjusted by selective metal-to-metal ET.

Abstract
We study by femtosecond optical pump-probe spectroscopy the photoinduced charge transfer (CT) in the RbMnFe Prussian blue analogue. Previous studies evidenced the local nature of the photoinduced MnIII FeII → MnII FeIII process, occurring within less than 1 ps. Here we show experimentally that two photoswitching pathways exist, depending on the excitation pump wavelength, which is confirmed by band structure calculations. Photoexcitation of α spins corresponds to the Mn(d-d) band, which drives reverse Jahn-Teller distortion through the population of antibonding Mn-N orbitals, and induces CT within ≈190 fs. The process launches coherent lattice torsion during the self-trapping of the CT small-polaron. Photoexcitation of β spins drives intervalence Fe→Mn CT towards non-bonding states and results in a slower dynamic.

Abstract
Three symmetric nanocages {Fe24M18} that mimic the Archimedean polyhedra, namely pseudo-rhombicuboctahedron, were synthesized. Their electron configurations depend highly on the changes of metal ions and the deprotonation of auxiliary ligands.

Abstract
We have studied the zero-dimensional cubane molecular correspondent of a Prussian blue analogue Cs-Fe4Co4 at low temperature and high magnetic field by means of L-edge X-ray absorption spectroscopy and X-ray magnetic circular dichroism. We probe the magnetic and electronic structures of Fe and Co separately upon light irradiation, which allows us to observe directly the electron transfer coupled to a spin transition phenomenon within the molecular cubes and to investigate the nature of the metastable photoexcited state. The magnetic moments in the photoexcited state are found to be M = 1.3μB ( Mspin = 0.59μB with large orbital moment, Morbit = 0.74μB) for low-spin FeIII and M = 1.5μB ( Mspin = 1.08μB with orbital moment, Morbit = 0.41μB) for high-spin CoII at 2 K and 6.8 T. From our results, we evidence that a strong antiferromagnetic coupling between the metal ions can be ruled out.
