Abstract
Titanium(III) complexes containing unprecedented (NH2 BH2 NHBH3 )2- and {N(BH3 )3 }3- ligands have been isolated, and their structures elucidated by a combination of experimental and theoretical methods. The treatment of the trimethyl derivative [TiCp*Me3 ] (Cp*=η5 -C5 Me5 ) with NH3 BH3 (3 equiv) at room temperature gives the paramagnetic dinuclear complex [{TiCp*(NH2 BH3 )}2 (μ-NH2 BH2 NHBH3 )], which at 80 °C leads to the trinuclear hydride derivative [{TiCp*(μ-H)}3 {μ3 -N(BH3 )3 }]. The bonding modes of the anionic BN fragments in those complexes, as well as the dimethylaminoborane group trapped on the analogous trinuclear [{TiCp*(μ-H)}3 (μ3 -H)(μ3 -NMe2 BH2 )], have been studied by X-ray crystallography and density functional theory (DFT) calculations.

Abstract
Despite the great potential of both π-conjugated organoboron polymers and BN-doped polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in organic optoelectronics, our knowledge of conjugated polymers with B-N bonds in their main chain is currently scarce. Herein, the first examples of a new class of organic-inorganic hybrid polymers are presented, which consist of alternating NBN and para-phenylene units. Polycondensation with B-N bond formation provides facile access to soluble materials under mild conditions. The photophysical data for the polymer and molecular model systems of different chain lengths reveal a low extent of π-conjugation across the NBN units, which is supported by DFT calculations. The applicability of the new polymers as macromolecular polyligands is demonstrated by a cross-linking reaction with Zr(IV) .

Abstract
The coordination chemistry of the 1,2-BN-cyclohexanes 2,2-R2 -1,2-B,N-C4 H10 (R2 =HH, MeH, Me2 ) with Ir and Rh metal fragments has been studied. This led to the solution (NMR spectroscopy) and solid-state (X-ray diffraction) characterization of [Ir(PCy3 )2 (H)2 (η(2) η(2) -H2 BNR2 C4 H8 )][BAr(F) 4 ] (NR2 =NH2 , NMeH) and [Rh(iPr2 PCH2 CH2 CH2 PiPr2 )(η(2) η(2) -H2 BNR2 C4 H8 )][BAr(F) 4 ] (NR2 =NH2 , NMeH, NMe2 ). For NR2 =NH2 subsequent metal-promoted, dehydrocoupling shows the eventual formation of the cyclic tricyclic borazine [BNC4 H8 ]3 , via amino-borane and, tentatively characterized using DFT/GIAO chemical shift calculations, cycloborazane intermediates. For NR2 =NMeH the final product is the cyclic amino-borane HBNMeC4 H8 . The mechanism of dehydrogenation of 2,2-H,Me-1,2-B,N-C4 H10 using the {Rh(iPr2 PCH2 CH2 CH2 PiPr2 )}(+) catalyst has been probed. Catalytic experiments indicate the rapid formation of a dimeric species, [Rh2 (iPr2 PCH2 CH2 CH2 PiPr2 )2 H5 ][BAr(F) 4 ]. Using the initial rate method starting from this dimer, a first-order relationship to [amine-borane], but half-order to [Rh] is established, which is suggested to be due to a rapid dimer-monomer equilibrium operating.
