Abstract
An exceptionally mild and efficient method was developed for the preparation of (hetero)aryl-AuI -L complexes using ethanol or water as the reaction medium at room temperature and Ar-B(triol)K boronates as the transmetalation partner. The reaction does not need an exogeneous base or other additives, and quantitative yields can be achieved through a simple filtration as the only required purification method, which obviates considerable waste associated with alternative workup methods. A broad reaction scope was demonstrated with respect to both the L and (hetero)aryl ligands on product Au complexes. Despite the polar reaction medium, large polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon units can be incorporated on the Au complexes in very good to excellent yields. The approach was demonstrated for the chemoselective manipulation of orthogonally protected aryl boronates to afford a new class of N-heterocyclic carbene-Au-aryl complexes. A mechanistic rationale was proposed.

Abstract
Herein, we report the meta-nitration of arenes bearing ortho/para directing group(s) using the iridium-catalyzed C-H borylation reaction followed by a newly developed copper(II)-catalyzed transformation of the crude aryl pinacol boronate esters into the corresponding nitroarenes in a one-pot fashion. This protocol allows the synthesis of meta-nitrated arenes that are tedious to prepare or require multistep synthesis using the existing methods. The reaction tolerates a wide array of ortho/para-directing groups, such as -F, -Cl, -Br, -CH3 , -Et, -iPr -OCH3 , and -OCF3 . It also provides regioselective access to the nitro derivatives of π-electron-deficient heterocycles, such as pyridine and quinoline derivatives. The application of this method is demonstrated in the late-stage modification of complex molecules and also in the gram-scale preparation of an intermediate en route to the FDA-approved drug Nilotinib. Finally, we have shown that the nitro product obtained by this strategy can also be directly converted to the aniline or hindered amine through Baran's amination protocol.

Abstract
The borylation of C-H bonds catalyzed by transition metals has been investigated extensively in the past two decades, but no iridium-catalyzed enantioselective borylation of C-H bonds has been reported. We report a set of iridium-catalyzed enantioselective borylations of aromatic C-H bonds. This reaction relies on a set of newly developed chiral quinolyl oxazoline ligands. This process proceeds under mild conditions with good to excellent enantioselectivity, and the borylated products can be converted to enantioenriched derivatives containing new C-O, C-C, C-Cl, or C-Br bonds.

Abstract
Herein, we demonstrate the use of α-boryl aldehydes and acyl boronates in the synthesis of aminoboronic acid derivatives. This work highlights the untapped potential of boron-substituted iminium ions and offers insights into the behavior of N-methyliminodiacetyl (MIDA) boronates during condensation and tautomerization processes. The preparative value of this contribution lies in the demonstration that various amines, including linear and cyclic peptides, can be readily conjugated with boron-containing fragments. A mild deprotection of amino MIDA-boronates enables access to α- and β-aminoboronic acids in high chemical yields. This simple process should be applicable to the synthesis of a wide range of bioactive molecules as well as precursors for cross-coupling reactions.

Abstract
(Pinacolato)boryl ortho-silyl(hetero)aryl triflates are presented as a new class of building blocks for arylation. They demonstrate unique versatility by delivering boronate or (hetero)aryne reactivity chemoselectively in a broad range of transformations. This approach enables the unprecedented postfunctionalization of fluoride-activated (hetero)aryne precursors, for example, as substrates in transition-metal catalysis, and offers valuable new possibilities for aryl boronate postfunctionalization without the use of specialized protecting groups.

Abstract
Control of boronic acid solution speciation is presented as a new strategy for the chemoselective synthesis of boronic esters. Manipulation of the solution equilibria within a cross-coupling milieu enables the formal homologation of aryl and alkenyl boronic acid pinacol esters. The generation of a new, reactive boronic ester in the presence of an active palladium catalyst also facilitates streamlined iterative catalytic C-C bond formation and provides a method for the controlled oligomerization of sp(2) -hybridized boronic esters.
