Abstract
Previous methods on CoIII -catalyzed asymmetric C-H activation rely on the use of tailor-made cyclopentadienyl-ligated CoIII complexes, which require lengthy steps for the preparation. Herein, we report an unprecedented enantioselective C-H functionalization enabled by a simple cobalt/salicyloxazoline (Salox) catalysis. The chiral Salox ligands can be easily prepared in one step from salicylonitrile and chiral amino alcohols. A broad range of P-stereogenic compounds were synthesized in high yields with excellent enantioselectivities (45 examples, up to 99 % yield and >99 % ee). The isolation and characterization of several intermediates provided insights into the generation of active catalytic cobalt species, the action of Salox, and the mode of stereocontrol.

Abstract
A new class of bis‐cyclometalated rhodium(III) catalysts containing two inert cyclometalated 6‐tert‐butyl‐2‐phenyl‐2H‐indazole ligands and two labile acetonitriles is introduced. Single enantiomers (>99 % ee) were obtained through a chiral‐auxiliary‐mediated approach using a monofluorinated salicyloxazoline. The new chiral‐at‐metal complex is capable of catalyzing the visible‐light‐induced enantioselective α‐cyanoalkylation of 2‐acyl imidazoles in which it serves a dual function as the chiral Lewis acid catalyst for the asymmetric radical chemistry and at the same time as the photoredox catalyst for the visible‐light‐induced redox chemistry (up to 80 % yield, 4:1 d.r., and 95 % ee, 12 examples).

Abstract
The use of metal complex immobilized/decorated porous materials as catalysts has found various applications. As such, finding a new and mild method for synthesis of metal complex immobilized over porous material is of great interest. Immobilized porous materials for styrene oxidation were reported in this work. Immobilized porous material of Cu-Schiff base complex @MIL-101 were described, in which immobilized Cu-Schiff base complex within super cage of a metal-organic framework (MOF)-based porous material, chromium (III) terephthalate MIL-101. They were systematically characterized by using elemental analysis, powder X-ray diffraction, fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, N2 absorption-desorption, and so on, also used as catalyst for the selective oxidation of styrene to benzaldehyde. Comparatively, the immobilized heterogeneous catalyst of Cu-Schiff base complex@MIL-101 acted as an efficient heterostructure catalyst in the oxidation of styrene to benzaldehyde up to six cycles, and showed superior activity for styrene oxidation over MIL-101.

Abstract
Brønsted acids of anionic chiral CoIII complexes act as bifunctional phase-transfer catalysts to shuttle the substrates across the solvent interface and control stereoselectivity. The diastereomeric chiral CoIII -templated Brønsted acids, with the same chiral ligands, enabled a switch in the enantioselective bromoaminocyclization of olefins to afford the two enantiomers of 2-substituted pyrrolidines with high enantioselectivities (up to 99:1 e.r.).

Abstract
Chirality is an essential feature of asymmetric catalysts. This review summarizes asymmetric catalysts that derive their chirality exclusively from stereogenic metal centers. Reported chiral-at-metal catalysts can be divided into two classes, namely, inert metal complexes, in which the metal fulfills a purely structural role, so catalysis is mediated entirely through the ligand sphere, and reactive metal complexes. The latter are particularly appealing because structural simplicity (only achiral ligands) is combined with the prospect of particularly effective asymmetric induction (direct contact of the substrate with the chiral metal center). Challenges and solutions for the design of such reactive stereogenic-only-at-metal asymmetric catalysts are discussed.

Abstract
The sodium salts of anionic chiral cobalt(III) complexes (CCC(-) Na(+) ) have been found to be efficient catalysts of the asymmetric Povarov reaction of easily accessible dienophiles, such as 2,3-dihydrofuran, ethyl vinyl ether, and an N-protected 2,3-dihydropyrrole, with 2-azadienes. Ring-fused tetrahydroquinolines with up to three contiguous stereogenic centers were thus obtained in high yields, excellent diastereoselectivities (endo/exo up to >20:1), and high enantioselectivities (up to 95:5 e.r.).

Abstract
Octahedral iridium(III) complexes containing two bidentate cyclometalating 5-tert-butyl-2-phenylbenzoxazole (IrO) or 5-tert-butyl-2-phenylbenzothiazole (IrS) ligands in addition to two labile acetonitrile ligands are demonstrated to constitute a highly versatile class of asymmetric Lewis acid catalysts. These complexes feature the metal center as the exclusive source of chirality and serve as effective asymmetric catalysts (0.5-5.0 mol % catalyst loading) for a variety of reactions with α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compounds, namely Friedel-Crafts alkylations (94-99% ee), Michael additions with CH-acidic compounds (81-97% ee), and a variety of cycloadditions (92-99% ee with high d.r.). Mechanistic investigations and crystal structures of an iridium-coordinated substrates and iridium-coordinated products are consistent with a mechanistic picture in which the α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compounds are activated by two-point binding (bidentate coordination) to the chiral Lewis acid.
