Abstract
The first example of intramolecular nucleophilic addition of 1,4-diazabutatriene to ester is disclosed. This approach provides a facile and versatile synthesis for functionalized 2H-1,4-benzoxazines under metal-, reagent-, and solvent-free conditions. Experimental and computational studies revealed the pivotal role of 1,5-acyl migration as the self-catalytic step in the reaction selectivity.

Abstract
Herein we report a catalytic asymmetric dearomatization reaction of electron-deficient heteroarenes with α-substituted isocyanoacetates through an interrupted Barton-Zard reaction. A range of optically active pyrrolo[3,4-b]indole derivatives was obtained in good yields (up to 97 %) with high stereoselectivities (up to >20:1 dr and 97 % ee), using a catalytic system consisting of a cinchona-derived amino-phosphine and silver oxide. This reaction features wide substrate scope and mild conditions, and provides a new strategy for developing asymmetric dearomatization reactions.

Abstract
An unprecedented silver-catalyzed difunctionalization of the isocyano group with cyclic oximes is described. This method allows efficient and atom-economic assembly of a vast array of structurally novel and interesting pyrimidinediones, and tolerates a range of functionalities. The resulting products can be easily converted into some useful compounds. Furthermore, the method can also be applied for the late-stage modification of a few biologically active molecules.
