Abstract
We herein report the preparation of solid and salt-stabilized silylzinc pivalates from the corresponding silyllithium reagents via transmetalation with Zn(OPiv)2 . These resulting organosilylzinc pivalates show enhanced air and moisture stability and unique reactivity in the silylative difunctionalization of alkenes. Thus, a practical chelation-assisted nickel-catalyzed regioselective alkyl and benzylsilylation of alkenes has been developed, which provides an easy method to access alkyl silanes with broad substrate scope and wide functional group compatibility. Kinetic experiments highlight that the OPiv-coordination is crucial to improve the reactivity of silylzinc pivalates. Furthermore, late-stage functionalizations of druglike molecules and versatile modifications of the products illustrate the synthetical utility of this protocol.

Abstract
A wide range of polyfunctional diaryl- and diheteroarylzinc species were prepared in toluene within 10 min to 5 h through an I/Zn or Br/Zn exchange reaction using bimetallic reagents of the general formula R'2 Zn⋅2 LiOR (R'=sBu, tBu, pTol). Highly sensitive functional groups, such as a triazine, a ketone, an aldehyde, or a nitro group, were tolerated in these exchange reactions, enabling the synthesis of a plethora of functionalized (hetero)arenes after quenching with various electrophiles. Insight into the constitution and reactivity of these bimetallic mixtures revealed the formation of highly active lithium diorganodialkoxyzincates of type [R'2 Zn(OR)2 Li2 ].

Abstract
We report a new late-stage functionalization of small peptides and cyclopeptides relying on the Negishi cross-coupling of readily prepared iodotyrosine- or iodophenylalanine-containing peptides with aryl-, heteroaryl-, and alkylzinc pivalates or halides. In silico and in vitro determinations of membrane permeability parameters of the modified cyclopeptides showed that in most cases, the solubility was improved by the introduction of polar pyridyl units while the cell-membrane permeability was maintained.

Abstract
The treatment of various N-morpholino amides with TMPZnCl⋅LiCl (TMP=2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidyl) and Mg(OPiv)2 in THF at 25 °C provides solid zinc enolates with enhanced air and moisture stability (t1/2 in air: 1-3 h) after solvent evaporation. These enolates undergo Pd- and Cu-catalyzed cross-couplings with (hetero)aryl bromides as well as allylic and benzylic halides. The arylated N-morpholino amides were converted into various ketones by LaCl3 ⋅2 LiCl mediated acylation with Grignard reagents. The new, solid enolates were used to prepare a potent anti-breast-cancer drug candidate in six steps and 23 % overall yield.
