Abstract
The total synthesis of 1,4a-di-epi-ent-pancratistatin, a novel stereoisomer of the anti-tumor Amaryllidaceae alkaloid pancratistatin, was achieved in 14 steps starting from D-mannitol. The construction of the pancratistatin skeleton involved conjugate addition of organocuprate to a nitrosoolefin, which was generated in situ from inosose oxime. This was followed by stereoselective reduction of the oxime to an amine and site-selective formylation. Biological evaluations revealed that the newly synthesized compounds exhibit cytotoxicity toward cancer cells and significant ferroptosis inhibitory activity. These compounds constitute a promising small-molecule library for the development of potent bioactive agents.

Abstract
We developed a copper-catalyzed enantio- and diastereoselective boron conjugate addition to α-alkyl α,β-unsaturated esters under base-free conditions. The approach showed excellent enantioselectivities (87-99% ee) and moderate to good conversions (51-99%), albeit with moderate diastereoselectivities (1 : 1-17 : 1 dr). The synthetic utility of this protocol was demonstrated.

Abstract
A Cu-catalyzed regio- and enantioselective hydroboration of various naphthylallylic compounds affording chiral boronates with high yields and excellent enantioselectivities (up to 96% ee) was presented. The utility of the boronated products is further illustrated by other stereospecific C-B bond transformations to produce amino alcohols and other useful compounds.

Abstract
Highly diastereoselective palladium catalyzed cinnamylation of N-tert-butanesulfinyl imines with cinnamyl acetates has been established to provide enantioenriched β-aryl homoallylic amines. The synthetic application of this stragety has been successfully demonstrated in the concise total syntheses of antitumor natural products (+)-lycoricidine and (+)-7-deoxypancratistatin.

Although known for over 90 years, only in the past two decades has the chemistry of diboron(4) compounds been extensively explored. Abstract
Allylboronic acids readily react with a broad variety of ketones, affording homoallylic alcohols with adjacent quaternary and tertiary stereocenters. The reaction proceeds with very high anti stereoselectivity even if the substituents of the keto group have a similar size. α-Keto acids react with syn stereoselectivity probably due to the formation of acyl boronate intermediates. The allylation reactions proceed without added acids/bases under mild conditions. Because of this, many functionalities are tolerated even with in situ generated allylboronic acids.

Abstract
A full account is given for the total synthesis and the cytotoxic activity against the human lung tumoral cell line NCI-H460 of (±)-7-deoxy-pancratistatin and its 2-epi- and 2,4-diepi- unnatural analogues.
