Abstract
The first asymmetric total synthesis of (1S,5R,7S)-cryptorigidifoliol G and (1S,5R,7R)-cryptorigidifoliol G of the proposed natural product was achieved. The key steps in the synthesis involved Keck-Maruoka allylation, our own developed protocol for the construction of the trans-2,6-disubstituted dihydropyran, iodolactonization, cross-metathesis, Prins cyclization, and cis-Wittig olefination reaction. A comparison of the NMR as well as analytical data and thorough analysis of the 2D NMR suggested that the absolute stereochemistry of the proposed natural product is (1S,5R,7S)-cryptorigidifoliol G.

Abstract
A new mechanistic pathway of propargylic alcohol activation by gold(I) catalysis has been proposed toward the efficient synthesis of N-protected pyrroles, 5,6-dihydropyridin-3(4H)-ones from N-protected 5-aminopent-2-yn-1-ol, and 5-aminopent-2-yn-1-ol. Control experiments support that the reaction proceeded via the neighboring group participation of the oxygen atom of propargylic alcohol to form an allene oxide intermediate where the nucleophilic heteroatom attacks intramolecularly. Further, this methodology is successfully extrapolated toward the atom-economic synthesis of hydroxyalkyl indoles and benzofurans. The short reaction time of 30 s, low catalyst loading of 0.5 mol %, high yield, variation in the substrate scope, and procedurally simple open-flask reaction conditions make this methodology highly applied.

Abstract
A bimetallic protocol has been developed to construct (Z)-γ-alkylidenebutenolide compounds from readily available propargyl α-ketoesters. It involves a gold-catalyzed 1,3-acyloxy migration of propargyl α-ketoesters and a carbonyl-ene cyclization of in situ generated allenyl esters. DFT calculations suggest that the copper salt might play dual roles as both chloride abstractor facilitating the generation of highly active gold catalyst and Lewis acid promoting the stepwise intramolecular carbonyl-ene reaction.

Abstract
We present herein an unconventional tandem [3,3]-sigmatropic rearrangement/[2 + 2] cycloaddition of simple dipropargylphosphonates to deliver a range of bicyclic polysubstituted cyclobutenes and cyclobutanes under Ag/Co relay catalysis. An interesting switch from allene-allene to allene-alkyne cycloaddition was observed based on the substitution of the substrates, which further diversified the range of compounds accessible from this practical method. Significantly, preliminary biological screening of these new compounds identified promising candidates as suppressors of cellular proliferation.

Abstract
The mechanistic pathways of metal-catalyzed pentannulation and hexannulation of aromatic enediyne were studied quantum mechanically with Pt and Au salts. In agreement with the experimental facts, our result shows that the pentannulation favors over the hexannulation under Pt-catalyzed conditions and the reverse possibility favors when the Pt salt is replaced with an Au one. The Pt-catalyzed reaction involves a long-range acyl migration that follows the cyclization step. Our study reveals that such migration takes place under the assistance of a ligand of the metal atom. Moreover, the variation of aromaticity (probed by the change of the nucleus-independent chemical shift (0) value) in the cyclization steps shows that both processes maintain the development of the aromatic character of the generated intermediate during the progress of the reaction.

Abstract
Herein, we describe an efficient method to prepare enantiomerically pure 8-oxabicyclo[3.2.1]octanes via gold(i)-catalyzed tandem 1,3-acyloxy migration/Ferrier rearrangement of glycal derived 1,6-enyne bearing propargylic carboxylates. The resultant compounds could then undergo interrupted Nazarov cyclization to afford diastereomerically pure 11-oxatricyclo[5.3.1.0]undecanes.

Abstract
The cyclization of enynes, catalyzed by a transition metal, represents a powerful tool to construct an array of cyclic compounds through electrophilic π-activation. In this paper, we disclose a new and efficient strategy for enynes cyclization catalyzed by triflic acid. The salient features of this transformation includes a broad substrate scope, metal free synthesis, open flask and mild conditions, good yields, ease of operation, low catalyst loading, and easy scale-up to gram scale. A preliminary mechanism study demonstrated that the activation model of the reaction was σ-activation, which is different from the transition-metal-catalyzed enynes cyclization. Our strategy affords a complementary method to the traditional strategies, which use transition-metal catalysts.

Abstract
The synthesis, on a large scale, with very good yield and er via an efficient strategy, of a chiral 4-substituted 2-cyclohexenone intermediate, was a milestone in the synthesis of seven analogues of meiogynin A, a natural sesquiterpenoid dimer.

Abstract
An electrophile-induced rearrangement of propargylic esters without need of transition catalysis is possible. In particular, this observation provides a mild, economic, and effective method for the introduction of benzyl ether derivatives to access functionalized α,β-unsaturated ketones. Preliminary mechanistic studies suggest that this rearrangement undergoes an intramolecular 1,3-acyloxy shift.

Abstract
New perspectives, in particular for the synthesis of isochromane derivatives (see scheme), are provided by the title reaction. Excellent diastereoselectivites are achieved in this reaction which proceeds through a gold-catalyzed 1,3-acyloxy migration. In some cases exclusively the Z isomer is detected.
