Abstract
The Cu(MeCN)4PF6-catalyzed reaction of 1-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-propargyl alcohols with aryl/alkyl mercaptan and subsequent treatment with K2CO3 only offered 3-(alkylthio)benzofurans, whereas the stoichiometric-exceeding CuI-mediated reaction and subsequent treatment with DIPEA furnished 2-(alkylthiomethyl)benzofurans with high selectivity. The amount of Cu(I) salts plays a key role in selective formation. This unique protocol for the selective construction of the two series of benzofurans containing alkylthio group proved to be suitable for broad substrates 1 and 2 except for aliphatic alkynyl alcohols.

Abstract
We report an unprecedented iron-catalyzed C-H annulation using readily available 2-vinylbenzofurans as the reaction pattern. The redox-neutral strategy, based on cheap, non-toxic, and earth-abundant iron catalysts, exploits triazole assistance to promote a cascade C-H alkylation, benzofuran ring-opening and insertion into a Fe-N bond, to form highly functionalized isoquinolones. Detailed mechanistic studies supported by DFT calculations fully disclosed the manifold of the iron catalysis.

Abstract
Despite recent developments on the design of dynamic catalysts, none of them have been exploited for the in-situ control of multiple stereogenic centers in a single molecular scaffold. We report herein that it is possible to obtain in majority any amongst the four possible stereoisomers of an amino alcohol by means of a switchable asymmetric catalyst built on supramolecular helices. Hydrogen-bonded assemblies between a benzene-1,3,5-tricarboxamide (BTA) achiral phosphine ligand coordinated to copper and a chiral BTA comonomer are engaged in a copper-hydride catalyzed hydrosilylation and hydroamination cascade process. The nature of the product stereoisomer is related to the handedness of the helices and can thus be directed in a predictable way by changing the nature of the major enantiomer of the BTA comonomer present in the assemblies. The strategy allows all stereoisomers to be obtained one-pot with similar selectivities by conducting the cascade reaction in a concomitant manner, i.e. without inverting the handedness of the helices, or sequentially, i.e. by switching the handedness of the supramolecular helices between the hydrosilylation and hydroamination steps. Supramolecular helical catalysts appear as a unique and versatile platform to control the configuration of molecules or polymers embedding several stereogenic centers.

Abstract
A facile approach to the fully substituted cyclopentenones involving an unprecedented benzofuran-ring-opening is described. The cleavage of a benzofuran endocyclic C2-O bond proceeded smoothly in the absence of any transition metal catalyst or highly reactive organometallic reagent. Such benzofuran-ring-opening is delicately incorporated into an acid-catalyzed cascade process, orchestrating a novel synthetic strategy for complex cyclopentenones with excellent yields and diastereoselectivities.

Abstract
A catalytic enantioselective construction of all-carbon chiral quaternary centers through reductive hydroxymethylation of 1,1-disubstituted allenes with CO2 has been developed. In the presence of a copper/Mandyphos catalyst, CO2 is transformed into an alcohol oxidation level by an asymmetric reductive C-C bond formation with allenes by using hydrosilane (HSi(OMe)2 Me) as a reductant. The resulting chiral homoallylic alcohols are versatile synthetic intermediates and can be conveniently converted into a variety of useful chiral chemicals.

Abstract
We present a novel Cu-catalyzed aromatic metamorphosis of 3-aminoindazoles via oxidative cleavage of two C-N bonds of 3-aminoindazoles. This unprecedented reactivity of 3-aminoindazoles allows one to forge diverse nitrile-containing triphenylenes in decent yields via generation of the cyano group in situ. The current study reveals that 3-aminoindazoles could be harnessed as radical precursors via oxidative denitrogenation, the reaction mechanism of which was supported by density functional theory calculations.

Abstract
A 1,2-reductive dearomatization of quinolines and copper(II) acetate monohydrate/( R, R)-Ph-BPE/P( p-tolyl)3-catalyzed enantioselective hydroamination sequence was developed, affording diverse 4-amino-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinolines with high levels of enantioselectivity in either a stepwise or one-pot fashion. Pleasingly, internal cis-cyclic alkenes, which are challenging substrates in copper hydride-catalyzed enantioselective hydroamination reactions, were transformed efficiently under mild conditions.

Abstract
The asymmetric formal hydroamination of enamines using a CuH catalyst is reported. The method provides a straightforward and efficient approach to the synthesis of chiral 1,2-dialkyl amines in good yields with high levels of enantioselectivities for a broad range of substrates, and should have significant value for the preparation of molecules bearing a 1,2-diamine motif.
