Abstract
The present work develops a DMAP-catalyzed [3 + 2] cycloaddition of vinyl oxiranes with activated ketone compounds, affording dioxolane derivatives with moderate to excellent yields. This approach represents the first Lewis base (LB)-catalyzed ring-opening reaction of vinyl epoxides, simultaneously providing a rare oxygen-containing active intermediate in this field. The gram-scale preparation and facile derivatization of the cycloadduct highlight the significant synthetic potential of this strategy.

Abstract
The past few decades have witnessed tremendous development within epoxides. Among the many known reactions involving epoxide, Meinwald rearrangements represent one of the most important and attractive approaches, which can transform epoxides into versatile carbonyl compounds. Given the high efficiency of this protocol, substantial efforts have been made by researchers by utilizing multiple catalyst systems. This review provides an overview of recent advances in the Meinwald rearrangement (from 2014 onward), along with detailed discussions on mechanistic insights. This review aims to highlight the importance and value of these methodologies, thereby promoting further investigation and application.

Abstract
A Pd-catalyzed asymmetric isomerization-hydroamidocarbonylation of amide-containing alkenes was developed, affording a variety of chiral α-alkyl succinimides in moderate to good yields with high enantioselectivities. The key to success was introducing bulky 1-adamentyl P-substitution and 2,3,5,6-tetramethoxyphenyl group into the rigid P-chirogenic bisphosphine ligand to create stronger steric hinderance and deeper catalytic pocket. By this approach, regio- or stereo-convergent synthesis of enantiomeric succinimides from the mixture of olefin isomers was achieved.

Abstract
A BF3·OEt2-catalyzed cascade cyclization reaction of vinyloxirane with coumarin is described, affording the benzocoumarin derivatives with moderate to excellent yields (72-92%). The reaction demonstrates exceptional substrate tolerance and has been extensively explored for its potential in drug development, including scale-up experiments, functional group transformations, and screening of the products for anticancer activity. Moreover, the reaction mechanism has been rigorously validated through intermediate trapping and control experiments. Additionally, this reaction represents the uncommon nonmetal catalyzed intermolecular cyclization of vinyloxiranes.

Abstract
A novel type of highly efficient chiral C2-symmetric bipyridine-N,N'-dioxides ligand application in catalyzing Michael addition/Cyclization of 5-aminopyrazoles with α,β-unsaturated 2-acyl imidazoles has been developed, affording the corresponding adducts in 85-97% yield with up to 99% enantioselectivity under mild conditions with a lower catalyst loading and broad scope. Remarkably, this protocol exhibits advantages in terms of reactivity and enantioselectivity, giving the fact that as low as 2.2 mol % of L1 and 2.0 mol % of Ni(OTf)2 can promote the title reaction on gram scale to afford the desired product with excellent enantioselectivity.

Harnessing Dpp-Imine as a Powerful Achiral Cocatalyst to Dramatically Increase the Efficiency and Stereoselectivity in a Magnesium-Mediated Oxa-Michael Reaction. JACS AU 2024; 4:164-176. Abstract
Dpp-imines are classic model substrates for synthetic method studies. Here, we disclose their powerful use as achiral coligands in metal-catalyzed reactions. It is highly interesting to find that the Dpp-imine can not only act as powerful ligand to create excellent chiral pockets with magnesium complexes but also, more importantly, this coligand can dramatically enhance the catalytic ability of the metal catalyst. The underlying reaction mechanism was extensively explored by conducting a series of experiments, including 31P NMR studies of the coordination complex between the Dpp-imine coligand and magnesium complexes, ESI capture results, multiple control experiments, studies and comparison of different coligands, 1H NMR studies on the relationship between the substrate and Dpp-imine coligand, as well as the relationship between the substrate and the full complexes. Furthermore, DFT calculation provided valuable insights in the role of the imine additive and demonstrated that adding the Dpp-imine coligand in the magnesium catalyst can switch the deprotonation/nucleophilic addition steps from a stepwise mechanism to a concerted process during the oxa-cyclization reaction. The crucial factors responsible for the excellent enantioselectivity and enhanced reaction efficiency brought by Dpp-imine have been extracted from the calculation model. These mechanistic experiments and DFT calculation data clearly disclose and prove the powerful and interesting functions of the Dpp-imine coligand, which also direct a novel application of this type of active imine as useful ligands in metal-catalyzed asymmetric reactions.
