Abstract
Here, we prepared UiO-66-NH2 and employed a post-synthesis modification method for its functionalization with a β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) organic compound. The resulting composite was employed as a support for the heterogenization of the Pd NPs. Various techniques, including FT-IR, XRD, SEM, TEM, EDS, and elemental mapping, were used to characterize UiO-66-NH2@β-CD/PdNPs, indicating its successful preparation. Three C-C coupling reactions, including the Suzuki, Heck, and Sonogashira coupling reactions, were promoted using the produced catalyst. As a result of the PSM, the proposed catalyst displays improved catalytic performance. In addition, the suggested catalyst was highly recyclable up to 6 times.

Abstract
A novel heterogeneous Zr-based metal-organic framework containing an amino group functionalized with nitrogen-rich organic ligand (guanidine), through a step-by-step post synthesis modification approach, was successfully modified by the stabilization of palladium metal nanoparticles on the prepared UiO-66-NH2 support in order to synthesize the Suzuki-Murray, Mizoroki-Heck, and copper-free Sonogashira reactions and also the carbonylative Sonogashira reaction incorporating H2O as a green solvent under mild conditions. This newly synthesized highly efficient and reusable UiO-66-NH2@cyanuric chloride@guanidine/Pd-NPs reported catalyst has been utilized to increase anchoring palladium onto the substrate with the aim of altering the construction of the intended synthesis catalyst to form the C-C coupling derivatives. Several strategies, including X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared, scanning electron microscopy, Brunauer-Emmett-Teller, transmission microscopy electron, thermogravimetric analysis, inductively coupled plasma, energy-dispersive X-ray, and elemental mapping analyzes, were used to indicate the successful preparation of the UiO-66-NH2@cyanuric chloride@guanidine/Pd-NPs. In these reactions, the UiO-66-NH2-supported Pd-NPs illustrated superior performances compared to their catalyst, revealing the benefits of providing nanocatalysts. As a result, the proposed catalyst is favorable in a green solvent, and also, the outputs are accomplished with good to excellent outputs. Furthermore, the suggested catalyst represented very good reusability with no remarkable loss in activity up nine sequential runs.

Abstract
Here we prepared a highly efficient and reusable catalyst by a step-by-step postsynthesis modification of UiO-66-NH2 metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) with nitrogen-rich organic ligands and used it as support for the preparation of UiO-66-NH2@cyanuric chloride@2-aminopyrimidine/PdNPs. The catalytic performance's results of UiO-66-NH2@cyanuric chloride@2-aminopyrimidine/PdNPs, UiO-66-NH2/PdNPs, and UiO-66-NH2@cyanuric chloride/PdNPs indicate high efficiency of the modulation of the microenvironment of the palladium NPs. The addition of N-rich organic ligands through postsynthesis modification caused a unique structure of the final composite in favor of the progress of the C-C coupling reaction. Various techniques, including FT-IR, XRD, SEM, TEM, EDS, and elemental mapping, were used to characterize UiO-66-NH2@cyanuric chloride@2-aminopyrimidine/PdNPs, indicating its successful preparation. Three C-C coupling reactions, including the Suzuki, Heck, and Sonogashira coupling reactions, were promoted using the produced catalyst. As a result of the postsynthesis modification (PSM), the proposed catalyst displays improved catalytic performance. In addition, the suggested catalyst was highly recyclable up to ten times without leaching of PdNPs.

Abstract
Herein, we studied a single-pot method with a dual catalysis process towards the conversion of primary aromatic alcohols to amides using ultrasmall PdNPs of controlled uniform size (1.8 nm) inside hybrid mesoporous organosilica nanotubes (MO-NTs). The catalyst exhibited excellent performance in water under mild conditions and showed high stability. The catalytic activity towards the tandem oxidation of alcohols in the presence of amine salts and H2O2 to their corresponding amides without producing byproducts was evaluated, and high yields were obtained for all products. The structure of the organosilica nanotubes containing palladium nanoparticles was investigated using various characterization techniques such as XRD, TEM, BET, solid-state 29Si NMR and solid-state 13C CP MAS NMR. Catalyst recycling tests showed that the catalytic power of PdNPs@B-SNTs was preserved after 8 cycles and a slight decrease in catalyst activity was observed.

Abstract
We herein report the synthesis of CuInS2/ZnS (CIS/ZnS) quantum dots (QDs) via a greener method followed by sodium alginate (SA) passivation and encapsulation into mesoporous channels of amine modified silica (SBA15-NH2) for improved photostability and biocompatibility. The as-synthesized CIS/ZnS QDs exhibited near infrared emission even after SA passivation and silica encapsulation. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and Small angle X-ray diffraction (XRD) revealed the mesoporous nature of the SBA-15 remained stable after loading with the SA-CIS/ZnS QDs. The effective encapsulation of SA-CIS/ZnS QDs inside the pores of SBA15-NH2 matrix was confirmed by Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) pore volume analysis while the interaction between the QDs and SBA15-NH2 was confirmed using Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. The photostability of the QDs was greatly enhanced after these modifications. The resultant SA-CIS/ZnS-SBA15-NH2 (QDs-silica) composite possessed remarkable biocompatibility towards lung cancer (A549) and kidney (HEK 293) cell lines making it a versatile material for theranostic applications.

Thiol-Functionalized Ethylene Periodic Mesoporous Organosilica as an Efficient Scavenger for Palladium: Confirming the Homogeneous Character of the Suzuki Reaction. MATERIALS 2020; 13:ma13030623. Abstract
This work describes the synthesis of thiol-functionalized periodic mesoporous organosilicas (PMOs) prepared using the precursor 1-thiol-1,2-bis(triethoxysilyl)ethane, alone or mixed with 1,2-bis(triethoxysilyl)ethane. The thiol groups incorporated into the structure were found to be efficient for palladium binding. This has allowed these materials to be used as catalysts in the Suzuki cross-coupling reaction of bromobenzene and phenylboronic acid. Their performance has been compared to palladium-supported periodic mesoporous (organo)silicas and important differences have been observed between them. The use of different heterogeneity tests, such as hot filtration test and poisoning experiments, has provided a deep insight into the reaction mechanism and has confirmed that the reaction occurs in the homogeneous phase following a “release and catch” mechanism. Furthermore, the thiol-functionalized periodic mesoporous organosilica, synthesized using only 1-thiol-1,2-bis(triethoxysilyl)ethane as a precursor, has proven to be an efficient palladium scavenger.

Abstract
In this study, we developed a novel catalysts consisting of periodic mesoporous organosilica functionalized with bipyridinium ionic liquid supported palladium. The physiochemical properties of the hybrid catalyst were investigated using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, small angle X–ray powder diffraction, field emission scanning electron microscope, transmission electron microscope, nitrogen adsorption–desorption analyses, and atomic absorption spectroscopy. The stabilized Pd species inside the mesochannels provided good catalytic efficiency for the Suzuki–Miyaura coupling reactions in water. The activity of the designed catalysts retained for several consecutive recycle runs. The stability, recoverability, and reusability of the designed heterogeneous catalyst were also studied under various reaction conditions.

Abstract
Nanoreactors are material structures with engineered internal cavities which create exclusive confined nanoscale surroundings for chemical reactions. The cavities of mesoporous silica SBA-15 can be used as nanoreactors for incorporating catalytic species such as metal nanoparticles, complexes etc. Since SBA-15 silica has a neutral framework, organic functional groups and heteroatoms have been embedded by direct or post-synthesis approaches in order to modify their functionality. Palladium is the most used transition metal for C-C bond formations. Because of the great importance of C-C coupling reactions, this review article aims at providing a deep insight into the state of art in the field of the synthesis and the application of mesoporous SBA-15 silica-supported Pd catalysts in C-C coupling transformations. In most cases, synthesis and modification of the catalyst, time and yield of reactions, recyclability and leaching of the Pd species from the SBA-15 support are discussed to reveal the role of SBA-15 in C-C coupling reactions.

Abstract
Using air as the oxidant instead of the traditionally employed persulfates, the smaller and more uniform Pd nanoparticles (around 2 nm) supported on polyaniline (Pd@PANI) can be easily fabricated by the oxidation-polymerization of aniline with PdCl2. This material is an efficient and environmentally friendly catalyst for Heck reactions due to its recyclability, low loading, and ligand-free and mild reaction conditions. It was even tolerant to sulfur-containing substrates. This work reports the Pd@PANI-catalyzed Heck reactions with very wide substrate scopes, and discloses the catalytic mechanisms based on experimental findings and results of catalyst analysis and characterization.
