Abstract
Xanthene and acridine derivatives are interesting organic compounds that are used in different research fields like biomedicine and pharmaceutical science. However, applied catalysts for their synthesis have some limitations such as long reaction times, the need for harsh conditions and low yield. So, discovery of novel catalysts for the synthesis of xanthene and acridine derivatives is highly demanded. To overcome the limitation of previous methods on the efficient synthesis of 1,8-dioxo-octahydroxanthene and 1,8-dioxo-decahydroacridine derivatives, a green heterogeneous organic nano-catalyst (Cu@KCC-1-nPr-HMTA) was synthesized by covalent attachment of hexamethylenetetramine to the cavities and channels of dendritic mesoporous nanosilica (KCC-1). The prepared nano-catalyst was identified using various spectroscopic and microscopic methods including scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR), X-ray energy diffraction (EDX), EDX mapping and nitrogen adsorption-desorption analysis (BET-BJH). The prepared green nano-catalyst showed a spherical and dendritic structure with a surface area of 65.699 m2 g-1, average pore size of 40.78 nm and pore volume of 0.66 cm3 g-1. Also, Cu@KCC-1-nPr-HMTA has many chemo-active sites for the condensation reaction and was used as an efficient nano-catalyst towards one-step synthesis of 1,8-dioxo-decahydroacridine and 1,8-dioxo-octahydroxanthene derivatives from the reaction of aromatic aldehydes, dimedone, and ammonium acetate under solvent-free conditions. Short reaction times of 1 to 5 minutes for 1,8-dioxo-decahydroacridine and 30 to 55 minutes for 1,8-dioxo-octahydroxanthene derivatives, high yields and mild reaction conditions are advantages of the proposed synthetic method. It is hoped that the engineered nano-catalyst will be used for the synthesis of other organic compounds in the future.

Abstract
In the present article, a nanocomposite was prepared by immobilizing ionic liquid on the magnetic mesoporous FSM-16 with a core-shell structure (Fe3O4@FSM-16-SO3/IL). Subsequently, the structural properties of the synthesized nanocatalyst were characterized and analyzed by various techniques such as XRD, FT-IR, TEM, FE-SEM, BET, VSM, TGA, and EDS. Fe3O4@FSM-16-SO3/IL was used as a recoverable and efficient nanocatalyst for the synthesis of polyhydroquinoline derivatives. The magnetic nanocatalyst showed remarkable stability and reusability and was reused six consecutive times without considerable loss of its activity.

Abstract
The preparation of yolk-shell structured magnetic mesoporous composites is a significant subject between researchers. Especially, modification of theses composites with ionic liquid/metal complex is very important for catalytic processes. In the present study, a novel magnetic methylene-based periodic mesoporous organosilica (PMO)-supported ionic liquid/Cu complex with yolk-shell structure (YS-Fe3O4@PMO/IL-Cu) was prepared via the soft template-assisted method. The TGA, FT-IR, SEM, EDX, XRD, VSM, nitrogen-sorption, and ICP techniques were employed to identify YS-Fe3O4@PMO/IL-Cu. The YS-Fe3O4@PMO/IL-Cu material was applied as a powerful nanocatalyst for the synthesis of pyranopyrazoles under ultrasonic media. The study demonstrated that the YS-Fe3O4@PMO/IL-Cu nanocatalyst is highly recyclable, selective, and effective. The leaching test was performed to investigate the nature of the designed catalyst under the applied conditions.

Abstract
An efficient taurine-catalyzed green multicomponent approach has been described for the first time to synthesize densely substituted therapeutic core dihydropyrano[2,3-c]pyrazoles. Applications of the developed synthetic strategies and technologies revealed the synthesis of a series of newly designed 1,4-dihydropyrano[2,3-c]pyrazoles containing isonicotinamide, spirooxindole, and indole moieties. Detailed in silico analysis of the synthesized analogues revealed their potential to bind wild-type and antibiotic-resistant variants of dihydrofolate reductase, a principal drug target enzyme for emerging antibiotic-resistant pathogenic Staphylococcus aureus strains. Hence, the synthesized dihydropyrano[2,3-c]pyrazole derivatives presented herein hold immense promise to develop future antistaphylococcal therapeutic agents.

One-Pot Access to Diverse Functionalized Pyran Annulated Heterocyclic Systems Using SCMNPs@BPy-SO3H as a Novel Magnetic Nanocatalyst. BULLETIN OF CHEMICAL REACTION ENGINEERING & CATALYSIS 2020. [DOI: 10.9767/bcrec.15.2.6693.348-366] [Citation(s) in RCA: 5] [Impact Index Per Article: 1.3] [Reference Citation Analysis] [Abstract] [Track Full Text] [Subscribe] [Scholar Register] [Indexed: 11/17/2022]
Abstract
The SCMNPs@BPy-SO3H catalyst was prepared and characterized using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA), Vibrating Sample Magnetometry (VSM), Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDX), X-ray Diffraction (XRD), and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). Afterwards, its capability was efficiently used to promote the one-pot, three-component synthesis of pyrano[2,3-c]pyrazole and 2-amino-3-cyano-pyrano[3,2-c]chromen-5(4H)-one derivatives. The strategy resulted in the desired products with excellent yields and short reaction times. The SCMNPs@BPy-SO3H catalyst was readily recovered using a permanent magnetic field and it was reused in six runs with a slight decrease in catalytic activity.
