Abstract
Ficus vasta Forssk. (Moraceae family) is an important medicinal plant that has not been previously investigated for its phytochemical and biological potential. Phytochemical screening, total bioactive content, and GCMS analysis were used to determine its phytoconstituents profile. Antioxidant, antibacterial, antifungal, anti-viral, cytotoxicity, thrombolytic, and enzyme inhibition activities were examined for biological evaluation. The plant extract exhibited the maximum total phenolic (89.47 ± 3.21 mg GAE/g) and total flavonoid contents (129.2 ± 4.14 mg QE/g), which may be related to the higher antioxidant potential of the extract. The extract showed strong α-amylase (IC50 5 ± 0.21 µg/mL) and α-glucosidase inhibition activity (IC50 5 ± 0.32 µg/mL). Significant results were observed in the case of antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-viral activities. The F. vasta extract inhibited the growth of HepG2 cells in a dose-dependent manner. The GCMS analysis of the extract provided the preliminary identification of 28 phytocompounds. In addition, the compounds identified by GCMS were subjected to in silico molecular docking analysis in order to identify any interactions between the compounds and enzymes (α-amylase and α-glucosidase). After that, the best-docked compounds were subjected to ADMET studies which provide information on pharmacokinetics, drug-likeness, physicochemical properties, and toxicity. The present study highlighted that the ethanol extract of F. vasta has antidiabetic, antimicrobial, anti-viral, and anti-cancer potentials that can be further explored for novel drug development.

Abstract
The genus Deverra DC. (Apiaceae) comprising only 13 taxa (9 species and 4 subspecies level) with disjunctive distribution in South Africa, in North Africa to Arabian Ecoregion. Thesis, books, Scientific journals, and reports were referred to collect information on the Deverra species. This present work reviewed the literature from 1900 to the end of January 2021. The aim of the review is to highlight traditional uses, phytochemistry and pharmacological properties of the species of the genus. The ethnopharmacologial uses of plant taxa belonging to this genus indicated that plant extracts, Essentail Oils (EOs) and infusion of aerial parts (APs) have been used in traditional popular medicine. The plants are used as a treatment of various purposes, such as asthma, rheumatism, fevers, hepatitis, diabetes and digestive difficulties. This present work focuses on ethnopharmacology of the Deverra species, the phytochemistry, pharmacology, toxicology among other studies on the genus. The present article summarizes on known and potential effects of the Deverra species as well as traditional medicine uses corroborated with pharmacological evidences. By the end of the review, Deverra species have a large application of bioactivities and the most described activities of Deverra plants are attributed to the presence of essential oils, coumarins, furocoumarins, flavonoids and phenolics. CONCLUSIONS: The review confirms that some Deverra taxa have been reported as a valuable source for flavoring and as a condiment as well as in the traditional medicine for the treatment of hypertension, to relief stomach pain and against intestinal parasites against spasms, pains, diabetes, hepatitis, digestive difficulties, urinary infections … etc. Nonetheless, for the valorisation of Deverra species in order to prevent and treat various diseases, further pharmacological investigations are strongly required to determine the mechanism of action, test the safety and the efficacity before starting clinical trials at big scale.

Abstract
The Chinese black truffle Tuber indicum (Ascomycota, Pezizales) is a ectomycorrhizal fungus forming hypogeous edible ascocarps. As a famous wild edible mushroom in the world, this species also attracted an increasing interest in their chemical composition and pharmacological activity. In this study, the total phenolic content, total flavonoid content and antioxidant activities of Tuber indicum collected from July to November at different maturity stages in China were analyzed. Our results showed that T. indicum collected in July (immature stage) possessed the highest amount of flavonoids (3.89 mg/g dw) and the highest ABTS⦁+ scavenging activity (EC50 =3.73 mg/ml). In addition, those samples collected in August (moderate mature stage) contained the highest phenolics content (4.78 mg/g dw), the highest DPPH⦁ radical scavenging activity(EC50 =3.73 mg/ml) and ferric reducing activity power(243.63 μmol FeSO4 /g). The study reveals T. indicum in the early maturity stage yield significantly higher content of phenolics and flavonoids and possessed stronger antioxidant activity than those collected in other months. This study provided important data for understanding the relationship between maturity stages and truffle formation and evaluating the quality of Chinese black truffle at different maturity.

Abstract
In this study, two kinds of Artemisia plant, Artemisia campestris L. and Artemisia herba-alba Asso., collected from different locations in Djelfa province, Algeria, were subjected to an instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA) in order to determine their essential and toxic elements for the first time. The obtained results for both types revealed the existence of twenty-one elements, namely, As, Ba, Br, Ca, Ce, Co, Cr, Cs, Eu, Fe, Hf, K, La, Na, Rb, Sb, Sc, Sm, Sr, Yb, and Zn, where, the elements K, Ca, Fe, and Na respectively showed a significant concentration. On the other hand, the tolerable daily intake (TDI) of the studied plants for an adult person per day was within the tolerance limits imposed by the World Health Organization (WHO). Hence, these findings might therefore be used to offer scientific basis for an optimum usage of the studied plants and so enriches the database of medicinal herbs.

Abstract
This study describes the chemical composition, antitumor, antioxidant, and antimicrobial activities of the plant Thymus algeriensis Boiss. Essential oils (EOs) were collected in different periods (before, during, and after flowering stage) from the El-Guetfa region, M’sila, Algeria. The EOs extraction was achieved using three distinguishing techniques: hydro (Clevenger trap), steam, and microwave distillations, targeting different aerial parts of the plant (stems, flowers, and leaves). The EOs chemical components were estimated using GC-FID and GC-MS apparatuses. The resulting yield of the extracted oil was moderate and ranged between 0.84 and 1.53% (wt/vol). In total, eighty-five components were identified, in which the oxygenated monoterpenes family formed the main portion, starting from 40.56 up to 70.66%. The obtained essential oil was dominated by five major components that varied from low to quite moderate percentages: camphor (17.45–32.56%), borneol (11.16–22.2%), camphene (7.53–12.86%), 1.8-cineole (5.16–11.21%), and bornyl acetate (3.86–7.92%). The biological results of this oil pointed out that the EOs extracted from the leaves part exposed a weak radical scavenging activity afterward using two well-known antioxidant assays DPPH (IC50 = 8.37 mg/mL) and ABTS (10.84 mg/mL). Meanwhile, this oil presented strong inhibition activity against colon cancer cell line HCT116 (LC50 = 39.8 µg/mL) and a moderate inhibitory against hepatocellular cancer cells HePG2 (LC50 > 100 µg/mL). In addition, this oil antimicrobial activity was quite important against Micrococcus luteus (M. luteus), Staphylococcus aureus CIP 7625, Escherichia coli ATCC 10536, Saccharomyces cerevisiae ATCC 4226, Candida albicans IPA200, Candida tropicalis (Ct), and Candida glabrata (Cg) after using Amoxicillin and Itraconazole as references.

Abstract
Abstract
Most of the rural Algerian communities believed that Pistacia lentiscus L. leaves have therapeutic capacities to treat many gastric diseases and abdomen aches, whereas, the rural habitants of Mitidja, Algeria powdered P. lentiscus L. leaves and consume it fresh in order to heal mild dyspeptic disorders and peptic ulcer. Therefore, the current study was conducted to investigate and monitor the amount of essential and toxic elements of these leaves. The leaf samples were collected from a place called Mitidja, Algeria in autumn 2014. Thereafter, those samples were subjected to an instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA). Fourteen elements were assessed (As, Br, Ca, Co, Fe, K, La, Na, Rb, Sb, Sc, Sm, Th and Zn). Where, the elements Ca, Fe, K, Na and Zn presented significant concentrations. On the other hand, it was found that the tolerable daily intake (TDI) of these leaves for an adult person per day, is with the tolerance limits and satisfy the nutritional references. Moreover, P. lentiscus L. leaves might be an important nature supplier source of Ca, K, Na, Fe and Zn for the human body, since these elements are considered as the most dietary supplements recommended by doctors to maintain good health.
