Abstract
Interaction of common imines with WCl6 in organic solvents revealed very unusual features in the context of imine chemistry. Ph2C[double bond, length as m-dash]NH was converted in one pot into the 2-aza-allenium species [Ph2C[double bond, length as m-dash]N[double bond, length as m-dash]CPh2]+via N2 release, with [Ph2C[double bond, length as m-dash]NH2]+ being a co-product. PhCH[double bond, length as m-dash]NtBu underwent C-H bond activation resulting in the formation of [C[triple bond, length as m-dash]N] containing derivatives, together with [PhCH[double bond, length as m-dash]NHtBu]+.

Abstract
Abstract
2-Azido-1,3-di(benzyloxy)imidazolium hexafluoridophosphate was obtained from the corresponding 2-bromo compound by reaction with sodium azide. Cycloaddition of the 2-azido compound with norbornene and norbornadiene gave the respective tricyclic aziridine and bicyclic azaoctadiene. Addition of triphenylphosphane yielded the phosphazide which upon heating eliminated dinitrogen to afford the phosphazene. The crystal structures of five compounds were determined by X-ray diffraction.

Abstract
The mechanisms of cycloaddition reactions between 2-azoniaallene cations and olefins have been explored at the B3LYP/6-31G level. It is found that the positive charge in 2-azoniaallene makes the reaction more complicated. For the reactions between olefins with Cl groups or CH(3) groups and 2-azoniaallene, the typical carboniums have been located along the reaction path. In addition, for the reactions between 1,1-dimethylethene and 1,3-dichrolo-2-azoniaallene, different paths and products have been rationalized and verified.
