Abstract
α-Dicarbonyl compounds (α-DCs) are predominantly generated through the thermal processing of carbohydrate and protein-rich food. They are pivotal precursors to hazard formation, such as advanced glycation end products (AGEs), acrylamide, and furan. Their accumulation within the body will be genotoxicity and neurotoxicity. Recently, significant advancements have been made in nanotechnology, leading to the widespread utilization of nanomaterials as functional components in addressing the detrimental impact of α-DCs. This review focuses on the control of α-DCs through the utilization of nanoparticle-based functional factors, which were prepared by using edible components as resources. Four emerging nanoparticles are introduced including phenolic compounds-derived nanoparticle, plant-derived nanoparticle, active peptides-derived nanoparticle, and functional minerals-derived nanoparticle. The general control mechanisms as well as the recent evidence pertaining to the aforementioned aspects were also discussed, hoping to valuable helpful references for the development of innovative α-DCs scavengers and identifying the further scope of research.

Abstract
Nanotechnology is considered a successful approach for cancer diagnosis and treatment. Preferentially, cancer cell recognition and drug targeting via nano-delivery system include the penetration of anticancer agents into the cell membrane to damage the cancer cell by protein modification, DNA oxidation, or mitochondrial dysfunction. The past research on nano-delivery systems and their target has proven the beneficial achievement in a malignant tumor. Modern perceptions using inventive nanomaterials for cancer management have been offered by a multifunctional platform based on various nano-carriers with the probability of imaging and cancer therapy simultaneously. Emerging nano-delivery systems in cancer therapy still lack knowledge of the biological functions behind the interaction between nanoparticles and cancer cells. Since the potential of engineered nanoparticles addresses the various challenges, limiting the success of cancer therapy subsequently, it is a must to review the molecular targeting of a nano-delivery system to enhance the therapeutic efficacy of cancer. This review focuses on using a nano-delivery system, an imaging system, and encapsulated nanoparticles for cancer therapy.

Abstract
With age, protein glycation in organisms increases continuously. Evidence from many studies shows that the accumulation of glycated protein is highly correlated with biological aging and the development of aging-related diseases, so developing a dietary agent to attenuate protein glycation is very meaningful. Previous studies have indicated that lactic acid bacteria-fermented products have diverse biological activities especially in anti-aging, so this study was aimed to investigate the inhibitory effect of the fermented supernatants of Lactobacillus plantarum GKM3 (GKM3) and Bifidobacterium lactis GKK2 (GKK2) on protein glycation. The results show that GKM3- and GKK2-fermented supernatants can significantly inhibit protein glycation by capturing a glycation agent (methylglyoxal) and/or protecting functional groups in protein against methylglyoxal-induced responses. GKM3- and GKK2-fermented supernatants can also significantly inhibit the binding of glycated proteins to the receptor for advanced glycation end products (RAGE). In conclusion, lactic acid bacteria fermentation products have the potential to attenuate biological aging by inhibiting protein glycation.
