Abstract
Novel coordination polymers embedding electroactive moieties present a high interest in the development of porous conducting materials. While tetrathiafulvalene (TTF) based metal-organic frameworks were reported to yield through-space conducting frameworks, the use of S-enriched scaffolds remains elusive in this field. Herein is reported the employment of bis(vinylenedithio)-tetrathiafulvalene (BVDT-TTF) functionalized with pyridine coordinating moieties in coordination polymers. Its combination with various transition metals yielded four isostructural networks, whose conductivity increased upon chemical oxidation with iodine. The oxidation was confirmed in a single-crystal to single-crystal X-ray diffraction experiment for the Cd(II) coordination polymer. Raman spectroscopy measurements and DFT calculations confirmed the oxidation state of the bulk materials, and band structure calculations assessed the ground state as an electronically localized antiferromagnetic state, while the conduction occurs in a 2D manner. These results are shedding light to comprehend how to improve through-space conductivity thanks to sulfur enriched ligands.

Cationic-palladium catalyzed regio- and stereoselective syn-1,2-dicarbofunctionalization of unsymmetrical internal alkynes. Nat Commun 2022; 13:1360. Abstract
π-Extended tetrasubstituted olefins are widely found motifs in natural products, leading drugs, and agrochemicals. Thus, development of modular strategies for the synthesis of complex all-carbon-substituted olefins always draws attention. The difunctionalization of unsymmetrical alkynes is an attractive approach but it has remained faced with regioselectivity issues. Here we report the discovery of a regio- and stereoselective syn-1,2-dicarbofunctionalization of unsymmetrical internal alkynes. A cationic Pd-catalyzed three-component coupling of aryl diazonium salts, aryl boronic acids (or olefins) and yne-acetates enables access to all-carbon substituted unsymmetrical olefins. The transformation features broad scope with labile functional group tolerance, building broad chemical space of structural diversity (94 molecules). The value of this synthetic method is demonstrated by the direct transformation of natural products and drug candidates containing yne-acetates, to enable highly substituted structurally complex allyl acetate analogues of biologically important compounds. Synthetic versatility of the carboxylate bearing highly substituted olefins is also presented. The reaction outcome is attributed to the in situ formation of stabilized cationic aryl-Pd species, which regulates regioselective aryl-palladation of unsymmetrical yne-acetates. Control experiments reveal the synergy between the carboxylate protecting group and the cationic Pd-intermediate in the regioselectivity and reaction productivity; density functional theory (DFT) studies rationalize the selectivity of the reaction.

Abstract
A visible-light-induced radical domino reaction of 1-allyl-2-ethynylbenzoimidazoles with thiosulfonates was developed, which generated the thiosulfonylated pyrrolo[1,2-a]benzimidazoles in moderate to good yields. This reaction proceeded under transition-metal-free conditions with good functional group tolerance and high regioselectivity. The possible pathway involved thiosulfonates were activated through the energy transfer route promoted by photocatalysis.

Abstract
Pd-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions of aryl diazonium salts are generally assumed to proceed via cationic PdII intermediates which in turn would be highly reactive in the subsequent transmetalation step. Contrary to this belief, we herein report our observation and rationalization of opposing reactivities of ArN2 + in Suzuki (=effective) and Stille (=ineffective) cross-couplings in MeOH. Our systematic experimental and computational studies on the roles of transmetalating agent, solvent, base and the likely involvement of in situ formed diazoether derivatives challenge the currently accepted mechanism. Our data suggest that the observed solvent dichotomy is primarily due to PdII -methoxy intermediates being formed, which are unreactive with arylstannanes, but highly reactive with arylboronic acids, complementing the Suzuki "Pd-oxy" mechanism with the direct demonstration of transmetalation of a PdII -alkoxy complex. Lewis acids were found to circumvent this reactivity divergence, promoting efficient couplings regardless of the employed conditions or coupling partners.

Abstract
Palladium-catalyzed dearomative [2+2+1] annulations of aryl ethers with alkynes are reported via para-selective C-H functionalization, providing highly functionalized spirocyclohexadienones in moderate to excellent yields under mild reaction conditions. Importantly, mechanistic investigation indicated an unusual C-O bond cleavage was involved. Moreover, polyarylated naphthalenes could be obtained via oxidative [2+2+2] annulation by tuning aryl ethers from monomethoxybenzenes to polymethoxybenzenes under an identical catalytic system.

Abstract
The rich legacy of arenediazonium salts in the synthesis of unsymmetrical biaryls, built around the seminal works of Pschorr, Gomberg and Bachmann more than a century ago, continues to make important contributions at various evolutionary stages of modern biaryl synthesis. Based on in-depth mechanistic analysis and design of novel pathways and reaction conditions, the scope of biaryl synthesis with arenediazonium salts has enormously expanded in recent years through applications of transition metal/photoredox-catalysed cross-coupling, thermal/photosensitized radical chain CH-arylation of (hetero)arenes and arylative radical annulation reactions with alkynes. These recent developments have provided facile synthetic access to a wide variety of unsymmetrical biaryls of pharmaceutical, agrochemical and optoelectronic importance with green scale-up options and created opportunities for late-stage modification of peptides, nucleosides, carbon nanotubes and electrodes, the details of which are captured in this review.

Abstract
Small, "doll"-shaped tetracyanocyclopentadienide bearing a 1,3-dioxane acetal "head" and cyano "hands" and "feet" was synthesized. Its pyridinium salt, which was named NanoGoblin, exhibited catalytic activity in the methanolysis of acetals, as demonstrated by the reaction with NanoKid in methanol-d 4, where the acetal head of NanoKid was converted to a deuterated dimethyl acetal moiety.

Abstract
Alkynes are one of the most versatile functional groups as synthetic handles. They allow for a direct access to partially or fully substituted alkenes through difunctionalization reactions. A prominently utilized transformation for these sequences is the carbopalladation of alkynes, which can be followed by various termination steps such as aromatizations, dearomatizations, cross-coupling reactions, or pericyclic processes, amongst others. This Minireview provides an overview of the recent literature published in the field of carbopalladation chemistry, both with a focus on methodology as well as its application in the syntheses of complex molecular scaffolds, natural products, and functional molecules.

Abstract
A novel palladium(0)-catalyzed dearomative cyclization reaction of bromophenols with (1,n)-diynes has been developed for building two new types of tricyclic architectures containing a quaternary carbon center. This method employs inexpensive bromophenols, and easily accessible tethered diynes. It exhibits a broad substrate scope and tolerates various functional groups. Preliminary results with commercially available chiral ligands indicate that enantioselective variants are feasible for both cyclization processes.

Abstract
Benzo-fused tri- to heptacyclic heteroarenes were effectively constructed by the rhodium-catalyzed dehydrogenative coupling of phenylheteroarenes with alkynes. Using alkenes as coupling partners, dehydrogenative alkenylation took place selectively on the phenyl moiety of phenylheteroarenes. Several experiments with deuterium-labeled substrates indicated that double C-H bond cleavages take place even in the reaction with alkenes.

Abstract
4-Phenol diazonium salts undergo Pd-catalyzed Heck reactions with various styrenes to 4'-hydroxy stilbenes. In almost all cases higher yields and fewer side products were observed, compared to the analogous 4-methoxy benzene diazonium salts. In contrast, the reaction fails completely with 2- and 3-phenol diazonium salts. For these substitution patterns the methoxy-substituted derivatives are superior.
