Abstract
The food crisis caused by diminished arable land, extreme weather and climate change linked to increased carbon dioxide (CO2) emission, is threatening global population growth. Interestingly, CO2, the most widespread carbon source, can be converted into food ingredients. Here, we briefly discuss the progress and challenges in catalytic conversion of CO2 to food ingredients via chiral catalysis.

Abstract
Syntheses of chemicals using renewable electricity and when generating high atom economies are considered green and sustainable processes. In the present state of affairs, electrochemical manufacturing of fine chemicals and pharmaceuticals is not as common place as it could be and therefore, merits more attention. There is also a need to turn attention toward the electrochemical synthesis of valuable chemicals from recyclable greenhouse gases that can accelerate the process of circular economy. CO2 emissions are the major contributor to human-induced global warming. CO2 conversion into chemicals is a valuable application of its utilisation and will contribute to circular economy while maintaining environmental sustainability. Herein, we present an overview of electro-carboxylation, including mechanistic aspects, which forms carboxylic acids using molecular carbon dioxide. We also discuss atom economies of electrochemical fluorination, methoxylation and amide formation reactions.

Abstract
Carboxylic acids are widely found in natural products and bioactive molecules and have served as raw material compounds in industry. We now report the first example of copper(I)-catalyzed carboxyl transfer annulation of propiolic acids with amines, thereby chemodivergently constructing the oxazolidine-2-ones. In this reaction, two kinds of key propargyamine intermediates were formed through sequential CuI/NBS-catalyzed oxidative deamination/decarboxylative alkynylation or CuI-catalyzed decarboxylative hydroamination/alkynylation. The advantages of this decarboxylative coupling/carboxylative cyclization are showcased in the atom economy, chemical specificity, and functional group tolerance.

Abstract
We discovered an effective and simple system (Pd/BQ/air/r.t.) for making allylic alcohols through Pd-catalyzed allylic C-H bond functionalization. This approach exhibits advantages due to its simple operation, mild conditions, and environmentally benign features. By modifying reaction conditions, it can be suitable for preparing unsaturated aldehydes, allylic esters, ethers, and amines.

Abstract
In this review, we summarize the origin and advancements of iridium-catalyzed asymmetric allylic substitution reactions during the past two decades. Since the first report in 1997, Ir-catalyzed asymmetric allylic substitution reactions have attracted intense attention due to their exceptionally high regio- and enantioselectivities. Ir-catalyzed asymmetric allylic substitution reactions have been significantly developed in recent years in many respects, including ligand development, mechanistic understanding, substrate scope, and application in the synthesis of complex functional molecules. In this review, an explicit outline of ligands, mechanism, scope of nucleophiles, and applications is presented.
