Abstract
This study was focused on the activation of the CP bond via reactions of Ph2CP-PtBu2 (1) with 1,6-hexanediol and selected dithiols (1,4-butanedithiol, 1,4-benzenedithiol and 1,4-benzenedimethanethiol). These reactions proceed according to a 1,2-addition mechanism, providing new compounds with formulas {(Ph)2(H)C-P-PtBu2}{μ2-(O-(CH2)6-O)}{tBu2P-P-C(H)(Ph)2} (2), {(Ph)2(H)C-P-PtBu2}{μ2-(S-(CH2)4-S)}{tBu2P-P-C(H)(Ph)2} (3a), {(Ph)2(H)C-P-PtBu2}{μ2-(S-C6H4-S)}{tBu2P-P-C(H)(Ph)2} (3b), and {(Ph)2(H)C-P-PtBu2}{μ2-(S-CH2-C6H4-CH2-S)}{tBu2P-P-C(H)(Ph)2} (3c). Next, the reactions of 3a and 3c with metal chlorides led to the growth of desired coordination polymers of copper(I) and silver(I). All the obtained compounds remained stable under atmospheric conditions.

Abstract
α,β-Butenolides with ≥96% enantiomeric excess are synthesized from β,γ-butenolides via a novel Cu(I)-ligand cooperative catalysis. The reaction is enabled by a chiral biphenyl-2-ylphosphine ligand featuring a remote tertiary amino group. Density functional theory studies support the cooperation between the metal center and the ligand basic amino group during the initial soft deprotonation and the key asymmetric γ-protonation. Remarkably, other coinage metals, that is, Ag and Au, can readily assume the same role as Cu in this asymmetric isomerization chemistry.

Abstract
Catalytic methods for the direct introduction of hydrogen isotopes into organic molecules are essential to the development of improved pharmaceuticals and to the alteration of their absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion (ADME) properties. However, the development of homogeneous catalysts for selective incorporation of isotopes in the absence of directing groups under practical conditions remains a long-standing challenge. Here, we show that a phosphine-ligated, silver-carbonate complex catalyzes the site-selective deuteration of C-H bonds in five-membered aromatic heterocycles and active pharmaceutical ingredients that have been resistant to catalytic H/D exchange. The reactions occur with CH3OD as a low-cost source of the isotope. The silver catalysts react with five-membered heteroarenes lacking directing groups, tolerate a wide range of functional groups, and react in both polar and nonpolar solvents. Mechanistic experiments, including deuterium kinetic isotope effects, determination of kinetic orders, and identification of the catalyst resting state, support C-H bond cleavage from a phosphine-ligated, silver-carbonate intermediate as the rate-determining step of the catalytic cycle.

Abstract
Terphenyl(bisamino)phosphines have been identified as effective ligands in cationic gold(i) complexes for the hydroamination of acetylenes. These systems are related to Buchwald phosphines and their steric properties have been evaluated. Effective hydroamination was noted even at low catalyst loadings and a series of cationic gold(i) complexes has been structurally characterized clearly indicating stabilizing effects through gold-arene interactions.

Abstract
Tremorine and precursors of gemini surfactants were synthesised in a one-pot, three-step, double-catalytic A3 coupling reaction and characterised by structural and spectroscopic methods. The cationic [AuI (L1)]SbF6 complex is a more active catalyst compared to neutral L2- and L3-AuI bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imidate complexes (L1, L2=Buchwald-type biaryl phosphane; L3=triphenylphosphine) in promoting the double A3 coupling of ethynyltrimethylsilane, secondary amines (cyclic, aliphatic, or aromatic) and formaldehyde. The solvent influences the catalytic performance by desilylation of silyl acetylene or deactivation of the catalyst by a halide anion. Acetylide-bridged cationic digold(I) L1 and L2 complexes were isolated and characterised by means of single-crystal X-ray structure analysis and their spectroscopic properties. Iodine in the acetylene reagent deactivates the AuI catalyst by formation of the less active iodido-bridged cationic digold(I) L1 complex, which was fully characterised by single-crystal X-ray crystal structure analysis and spectroscopy. The nature of the phosphine ligand of the gold complexes used as catalyst affects the stability and activity of the formed cationic ethynyl-bridged AuI2 -L intermediates, isolation of which lends support to the proposed double A3 coupling mechanism.

Abstract
Cationic mono-, di-, tri- and tetra-nuclear silver complexes with Buchwald-type phosphane (XPhos) and cyclooctatetraene (COT) have been synthesized and characterized. Formation of [(XPhos-Ag)n(COT)][SbF6]n (n = 1 and 2) complexes was confirmed by single-crystal X-ray crystallography and multinuclear NMR spectroscopy. Variable-temperature NMR spectroscopy in CD2Cl2 solution shows the fluxionality of the COT ring in the mono-Ag(i) XPhos complex. Fluxionality of COT was also confirmed in the case of the di-Ag(i) XPhos complex by solid-state and solution (31)P NMR spectroscopy. The C-C bond cleavage of coordinated acetonitrile [XPhos-Ag(i)-NCCH3] resulting in cyanide bridged Ag cluster formation [(XPhos-Ag)2(μ-CN)n(μ-Ag)n-1] (n = 1, 2, 3 and 4) upon light excitation of [(XPhos-Ag)n(COT)] was confirmed by HRESI-MS, UV-Absorption and HR-TEM.
