Abstract
We have carried out quantum dynamics calculations for the O + OH → H + O2 reaction on the CHIPR [A. J. C. Varandas, J. Chem. Phys., 2013, 138, 134117] potential energy surface (PES) for ground state HO2 using the fully coupled 3D time-dependent wavepacket formalism [S. Adhikari and A. J. C. Varandas, Comput. Phys. Commun., 2013, 184, 270] in hyperspherical coordinates. Reaction probabilities for J > 0 are calculated for different initial rotational states of the OH radical (v = 0; j = 0, 1). State-to-state as well as total integral cross sections and rate-coefficients are evaluated and compared with previous theoretical calculations and available experimental studies. Using the rate constant for the forward (hereinafter considered to be H + O2 → O + OH) and backward (O + OH → H + O2) reactions of this reactive system, the equilibrium constant of the reversible process [H + O2 ⇌ O + OH] is calculated as a function of temperature and compared with previous experimental measurements.

Abstract
Thermal rate coefficients and kinetic isotope effects have been calculated for an important atmospheric reaction H/D + O3 → OH/OD + O2 based on an accurate permutation invariant polynomial-neural network potential energy surface, using ring polymer molecular dynamics (RPMD), quasi-classical trajectory (QCT) and variational transition-state theory (VTST) with multidimensional tunneling. The RPMD approach yielded results that are generally in better agreement with experimental rate coefficients than the VTST and QCT ones, especially at low temperatures, attributable to its capacity to capture quantum effects such as tunneling and zero-point energy. The theoretical results support one group of existing experiments over the other. In addition, rate coefficients for the D + O3 → OD + O2 reaction are also reported using the same methods, which will allow a stringent assessment of future experimental measurements, thus helping to reduce the uncertainty in the recommended rate coefficients of this reaction.

Abstract
The dynamics of the title five-atom atmospheric reaction is studied by the quasiclassical trajectory method for vibrational states of OH over the range 2 < or = v < or = 9 and initial vibrational energies of O3 between 9 and 21 kcal mol-1 using a previously reported double many-body expansion potential energy surface for HO4(2A). The results show that the reaction is controlled by both capture- and barrier-type mechanisms, with the rate constants depending strongly on the reactants' internal energy content. Also suggested from the magnitude of the calculated rate coefficients is that the title processes may not be ignorable when studying the stratospheric ozone budget.

Abstract
We investigate the role of vibrational energy excitation of methane and two deuterated species (CD(4) and CH(2)D(2)) in the collision-induced dissociation (CID) process with argon at hyperthermal energies. The quasi-classical trajectory method has been applied, and the reactive Ar + CH(4) system has been modeled by using a modified version of the CH(4) potential energy surface of Duchovic et al. (J. Phys. Chem. 1984, 88, 1339) and the Ar-CH(4) intermolecular potential function obtained by Troya (J. Phys. Chem. A 2005, 109, 5814). This study clearly shows that CID is markedly enhanced with vibrational excitation and, to a lesser degree, with collision energy. In general, CID increases by exciting stretch vibrational modes of the reactant molecule. For the direct dissociation of CH(4), however, the CID cross sections appear to be essentially independent of which vibrational mode is initially excited. In all situations studied, the CID cross sections are always greater for the Ar + CD(4) reaction than for the Ar + CH(4) one, the Ar + CH(2)D(2) being an intermediate situation. A detailed analysis of the energy transfer processes, including their relation with CID, is also presented.
