Abstract
This Perspective compares the chemistries of s-block metal complexes of isoelectronic PC(H)P- and PNP-bridged, chalcogen-centred monoanions with a focus on the unique behavior of the C(H)-bridged systems.

The {CH(PPh2NSiMe3)(PPh2S)}−ligand has been used for the synthesis of divalent and trivalent rare-earth borohydride complexes. These compounds enable the ring-opening polymerization (ROP) of ε-caprolactone (CL) and trimethylene carbonate (TMC).
