Abstract
A nickel-catalyzed enantioselective cross-coupling for the synthesis of P-stereogenic phosphinamides has been developed. The asymmetric alkenylation and arylation of racemic H-phosphinamides using alkenyl and aryl bromides resulted in the formation of P-stereogenic N-phosphinyl compounds with good yields and high enantioselectivities. This method tolerates a variety of functional groups, and its applications are explored through scale-up reactions and product transformations.

Abstract
For more than five decades, P-stereogenic aminophosphine chalcogenides and boranes have attracted scientific attention and are still in the focus of ongoing research. In the last years, novel transition metal-based synthesis methods have been discovered, in addition to the long-known use of chiral auxiliaries. Enantiomerically pure compounds with N-P+ -X- (X=O, S, BH3 ) motifs served as valuable reactive building blocks to provide new classes of organophosphorus derivatives, thereby preserving the stereochemical information at the phosphorus atom. Over the years, intriguing applications in organocatalysis and transition metal catalysis have been reported for some representatives. Asymmetric reductions of C=C, C=N, and C=O double bonds were feasible with selected P-stereogenic aminophosphine oxides in the presence of hydrogen transfer reagents. P-stereogenic aminophosphine boranes could be easily deprotected and used as ligands for various transition metals to enable catalytic asymmetric hydrogenations of olefins and imines. This review traces the emergence of a synthetically and catalytically powerful functional compound class with phosphorus-centered chirality in its main lines, starting from classical approaches to modern synthesis methods to current applications.

Abstract
P-Stereogenic phosphinamides represent important structural elements in chiral organocatalysts and bioactive compounds. Herein, we report Pd(II)-catalyzed enantioselective C-H alkynylation using cheap commercially available l-pyroglutamic acid as a chiral ligand. A range of structurally diverse P-stereogenic phosphinamides was prepared in good yields with high enantioselectivities via desymmetrization and kinetic resolution. A tailor-made congested directing group, N-ethyl-N-(3-methylpyridin-2-yl)amino, was crucial for the reactivity.

Abstract
Phosphoramide, as an important framework of many biologically active molecules, has attracted widespread attention in recent decades. It is not only widely used in pharmaceuticals because of its excellent biological activities, but it also shows good performance in organic dyes, flame retardants and extractors. Thus, it is of great significance to develop effective and convenient methods for the synthesis of phosphoramides. In this review, the recent advancements made in the synthesis routes and applications of phosphoramides are discussed. The synthetic strategies of phosphoramides can be separated into five categories: phosphorus halides as the substrate, phosphates as the substrate, phosphorus hydrogen as the substrate, azides as the substrate and other methods. The latest examples of these methods are provided and some representative mechanisms are also described.

Abstract
![]()
The
absolute configuration and conformations of (−)-tert-butylphenylphosphinoamidate were determined using three
different chiroptical spectroscopic methods, namely vibrational circular
dichroism (VCD), electronic circular dichroism (ECD), and optical
rotatory dispersion (ORD). In each of the spectroscopic methods used,
experimental data for the (−)-enantiomer of tert-butylphenylphosphinoamidate were measured in the solution phase.
Using the concentration-dependent experimental infrared spectra, the
existence of dimers in the solution was investigated, and the monomer–dimer
equilibrium constant was determined. Concomitant quantum mechanical
predictions of the VCD, ECD, and ORD for monomeric tert-butylphenylphosphinoamidate were carried out using density functional
theory (DFT) calculations using the B3LYP functional and the 6-31G(d),
6-311G(2d,2p) and aug-cc-pVDZ basis sets. Similar predictions for
dimeric tert-butylphenylphosphinoamidate were also
obtained using the B3LYP/6-31G(d) method. A comparison of theoretically
predicted data with the corresponding experimental data led to the
elucidation of the absolute configuration as (−)-(R)-tert-butylphenylphosphinoamidate with one predominant
conformation in the solution. This conclusion was independently supported
by X-ray analysis of the complex with (+)-R-2,2′-dihydroxy-1,1′-binaphthol
((+)-R- BINOL).

Abstract
A direct and practical metal-free N-H phosphorylation has been achieved via the TBHP/NH4I-mediated cross-dehydrogenative coupling (CDC) reactions between imines/imidates and P(O)H compounds. This transformation provides an efficient synthetic route to the construction of P-N bonds with good functional group compatibility, leading to the formation of N-phosphorylimines and N-phosphorylimidates in up to 95% yield (33 examples) under mild conditions.

Abstract
A practical approach for the synthesis of phosphinic amides via the coupling of secondary phosphine oxides (SPOs) with O-benzoylhydroxylamines has been reported. Simply heating the mixture of SPOs and O-benzoylhydroxylamines in the presence of K(2)CO(3) gave the phosphinic amides in moderate to excellent yields under an open air system. This method provides a practical and catalyst-free method for the synthesis of various synthetically valuable phosphinic amides.

Abstract
A new chiral (Rs)-2-phenyl-2-propyl sulfinamide has been designed and synthesized; its derived aldimines and ketimines have been applied for asymmetric addition reaction with allylmagnesium bromide. The reaction was conveniently performed at room temperature to give a series of homoallylic amines in high yields (up to quant) and diastereoselectivity (up to >99% de). The pure products were obtained by relying on group-assisted purification (GAP) chemistry to avoid traditional purification methods of column chromatography or recrystallization. The conversion of disulfide to (R(s))-thiosulfinate which contains a newly generated polar group was also confirmed to be of the GAP chemistry in which washing crude product can generate pure enantiomer. The absolute stereochemistry has been determined by X-ray analysis.
