Abstract
To prepare complicated organic molecules, straightforward, sustainable, and clean methodologies are urgently required. Thus, researchers are attempting to develop imaginative approaches. Metal-catalyzed multicomponent reactions (MCRs) offer optimal molecular diversity, high atomic efficiency, and energy savings in a single reaction step. These versatile protocols are often used to synthesize numerous natural compounds, heterocyclic molecules, and medications. Thus far, the majority of metal-catalyzed MCRs under investigation are based on metal catalysts such as copper and palladium; however, current research is focused on developing novel, environmentally friendly catalytic systems. In this regard, this study demonstrates the effectiveness of metal catalysts in MCRs. The aim of this study is to provide an overview of metal catalysts for safe application in MCRs.

Abstract
A gold(I) autotandem catalysis protocol is reported for the de novo synthesis of densely substituted pyrazolines and dihydropyridines from the corresponding imine derivatives in a highly regioselective fashion via a one-pot aza-enyne metathesis/6π-electrocyclization sequence. The substituents on the nitrogen atom of the imine perfectly control the reaction pathways from the pivotal 1-azabutadiene intermediate; thus, carbazates were converted into pyrazolines via 6π-electrocyclization of α,β-unsaturated hydrazones, while aryl imines provided dihydropyridines via 6π-electrocyclization of 3-azahexatrienes.

Abstract
Silver and gold salts and complexes mainly act as soft and carbophilic Lewis acids even if their use as σ-activators has been rarely reported. Recently, transformations involving Au(I)/Au(III)-redox catalytic systems have been reported in the literature. In this review we highlight all these aspects of silver and gold-mediated processes and their application in multicomponent reactions.
