Abstract
A controllable and rapid synthesis of disulfides and thiosulfonates from sodium sulfinates mediated by hydroiodic acid is presented for the first time. In these reactions, ethanol and H2O were employed as solvents to generate different products.

Abstract
A new method has been developed for the synthesis of 2,3-disubstituted benzothiophenes involving the palladium-catalyzed annulation of aryl sulfides with alkynes. This convergent approach exhibited good functional group tolerance, providing rapid access to a diverse array of derivatives from simple, readily available starting materials. This protocol can also be used to synthesize 2-silyl-substituted benzothiophenes, which can be used as versatile platforms for the synthesis of 2,3-unsymmetrically substituted benzothiophenes.

Abstract
A convenient synthetic route to 2,3-diarylbenzo[b]thiophene derivatives via Ag-catalyzed intermolecular oxidative cyclization between bench-stable N-arylthio succinimides and unactivated internal alkynes is demonstrated herein.

Abstract
A series of 6-substituted benzo[b]thiophenes was synthesized using a Sc(OTf)3-catalyzed intermolecular cyclization between para-substituted N-(arylthio)succinimides and alkynes taking advantage of a unique and selective 1,2-sulfur migration occuring via an electrophilic ipso cyclization to a key spirocyclic thiete intermediate.

Abstract
The copper and triphenylphosphine-promoted sulfenylation of quinones with arylsulfonyl chlorides has been developed under mild conditions with moderate to good yields. This is the first time to prepare arylthioquinones with arylsulfonyl chlorides.
