Abstract
An efficient protocol for diazenylation of 1,3-diones under photoredox conditions is presented herein. C-N bond forming Csp3 -H functionalization of cyclic and alkyl diones by unstable aryl diazenyl radicals is achieved through reaction with aryldiazonium tetrafluoroborates by organocatalysts under visible light irradiation. The reaction has wide substrate scope, gives excellent yields, and is also efficient in water as a green solvent. This method provides an easy access to aryldiazenyl derivatives that are useful key starting materials for the synthesis of aza heterocycles as well as potential pharmacophores.

Abstract
A strategy for the synthesis of 5-((2-cyanoethyl)-X-amino)-[1,2,3]triazolo[4,5-c][1,2,5]oxadiazol-5-ium-4-ides (X = H; CH2CH2CN; NO2 (4a); CN (4b); CO2Et (4c)) starting from 3-amino-4-azido-1,2,5-oxadiazole was developed. The key step in this strategy is the intramolecular thermolytic cyclization of the azido group and the bis(2-cyanoethyl)triazene group. Removal of the 2-cyanoethyl protecting group from amides 4a–c gave potassium salt of the corresponding nitramide and sodium salts of cyano- and ethoxycarbonylamide. The structure and thermal stability of the synthesized compounds were studied experimentally using multinuclear NMR spectroscopy, X-ray crystallography, thermogravimetry, and differential scanning calorimetry.

Abstract
AbstractFive-membered heterocyclic N-oxides attract special attention due to their significant potential applications in medicinal chemistry and advanced materials science. In this regard, novel methods for their synthesis and functionalization are in constant demand. In this short review, recent state-of-the-art achievements in the chemistry of isoxazoline N-oxides, 1,2,3-triazole 1-oxides and 1,2,5-oxadiazole 2-oxides are summarized. The main routes involving transition-metal-catalyzed and metal-free functionalization protocols along with mechanistic considerations are outlined. The transformations of these hetarene N-oxide rings as precursors to other nitrogen heterocyclic systems are also presented.1 Introduction2 Isoxazoline N-Oxides3 1,2,3-Triazole 1-Oxides4 1,2,5-Oxadiazole 2-Oxides5 Conclusion

Abstract
A straightforward synthesis of a series of previously unknown N-(1,2,5-oxadiazolyl)hydrazones through the diazotization/reduction/condensation cascade of amino-1,2,5-oxadiazoles was accomplished. The described protocol was suitable for a wide array of target hydrazones, which were prepared in good to high yields under smooth reaction conditions with very good functional group tolerance. Importantly, the presented approach unveils a direct route to in situ generation of previously inaccessible (1,2,5-oxadiazolyl)hydrazines. In addition, a first example of the ionic structure incorporating a protonated hydrazone motif linked to the 1,2,5-oxadiazole 2-oxide subunit was synthesized, indicating the stability of prepared compounds toward acid-promoted hydrolysis. Overall, this method provides a direct access to the isosteric analogues of drug candidates for treatment of various neglected diseases, thus enabling their potential application in medicinal chemistry and drug design.
