Abstract
An unprecedented [1+1+1+1+1+1] annulation process has been developed for the construction of tetrahydro-2H-thiopyran 1,1-dioxides. Notably, rongalite acted as a tethered C-S synthon in this reaction and can be chemoselectively used as triple C1 units and as a source of sulfone. Mechanistic investigation indicated that two different carbon-increasing models are involved in this reaction in which rongalite serves as C1 units.

Abstract
The efficient construction of cyclopropyl spiroindoline skeletons and the exploration of related follow-up synthetic transformations have elicited considerable interest amongst members of the chemistry community. Here, we describe a formal (2 + 1) annulation and three-component (1 + 1 + 1) cascade cyclisation via sulphur ylide cyclopropanation under mild conditions. The spiro-cyclopropyl iminoindoline moiety can be readily transformed into another medicinally interesting pyrrolo[3,4-c]quinoline framework through a novel rearrangement process.

Abstract
This review summarizes recent developments in multicomponent reactions of diazo compounds. The role of diazo reagent and the type of interaction between components was analyzed to structure the discussion. In contrast to previous reviews on related topics mostly focused on metal catalyzed transformations, a substantial amount of organocatalytic or catalyst-free methodologies is covered in this work.

Abstract
α,β-Unsaturated carbonyl compounds are significant moieties in many biological molecules and have attracted considerable attention in organic synthetic chemistry. A Pd-catalyzed cascade cyclization for the synthesis of (E)-α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compounds with the sequential formation of C-C bonds was developed. This method offers high efficiency, good functional group tolerance, and moderate to excellent yields and generally displays high stereoselectivity.

Abstract
A novel method has been developed to synthesize a unique class of highly functionalized isochromeno[4,3-c]pyridazines. This reaction features an intermolecular functionalization of terminal nitrogen atom of diazo group of 4-diazoisochoman-3-imine with two dimethylsulfonium ylide components, followed by a base promoted 6-exo-trig cyclization step. Readily available starting materials, a broad substrate scope, and operationally simple, mild, and catalyst-free reaction conditions are the prominent features of this method.

Abstract
Iridium-catalyzed boron-hydrogen bond insertion reactions of trimethylamine-borane and sulfoxonium ylides have been demonstrated, furnishing α-boryl ketones in moderate to excellent yields in most cases (51 examples; up to 84%). This practical and scalable insertion reaction showed broad substrate scope, high functional-group compatibility and could be applied in late-stage modification of structurally complex drug compounds. Further synthetic applications were also demonstrated.
