Abstract
The accumulation of antimony (Sb) in plants and its potential effects on human health are of increasing concern. Nevertheless, only a few countries or regions have established soil Sb thresholds for agricultural purposes, and soil properties have not been taken into account. This study investigated the accumulation of Sb in the edible parts of pakchoi and wheat grain by adding exogenous Sb to 21 soils with varying properties. The results revealed a positive correlation between bioavailable Sb (Sbava, extracted by 0.1 M K2HPO4) in soil and Sb in the edible parts of pakchoi (R2 = 0.77, p < 0.05) and wheat grain (R2 = 0.54, p < 0.05). Both machine learning and traditional multiple regression analysis indicated Sbava was the most critical feature and the main soil properties that contributed to Sb uptake by pakchoi and wheat were CaCO3 and clay, respectively. The advisory food limits for Sb in pakchoi and wheat were estimated based on health risk assessment, and used to derive soil thresholds for safe pakchoi and wheat production based on Sbtot and Sbava, respectively. These findings hold potential for predicting Sb uptake by crops with different soil properties and informing safe production management strategies.

Abstract
Whether a certain relationship is exist between shale gas exploitation and accumulation of trace metals in soil is a controversial issue in recent years. To date, few study clearly reveal the intrinsic contributions of natural and anthropogenic factors to accumulation of trace metals in soil. In this study, machine learning and geodetector models were integrated to investigate to contribution of environmental factors to variations of trace metals concentration. Before modeling, there are 10.33%-25.87% of soil considered as metal pollution, and the value of Pn further suggest that the Ba contribute the most to the comprehensive pollution index of trace metals in soil. The initial prediction of trace metals concentration by machine learning models is less effectively indicating the need for alternative approaches. To address this problem, post-constraints approach was used, and the post-constraint MSLR model demonstrates superior performance (R2 = 0.81) Additionally, through the utilization of geodetector model, the explanatory power (q) of CEC and SOM were identified as dominant natural factors with value of 0.055 and 0.089. respectively. Moreover, distance from working sites and working status were identified as the dominant anthropogenic factors associating to the spatial heterogeneity of trace metals in soil. The interaction between natural and anthropogenic factors showed a siginifacnt nonlinear enhancement effect on accumulation of Cr, Ba and Sr, and the highest value of q was 0.38 for SOM and distance. This study indicated that the potential metal contamination was related to shale gas exploitation and provide reference for controlling soil pollution in shale gas exploitation area and making management strategy.

Abstract
People pose a serious risk by plants contaminated with lead in soil. However, the strength of lead enrichment capacity in root, stem, and leaf of the plant is still controversial. Therefore, a meta-analysis was conducted to investigate the ability of lead enrichment of root, stem, and leaf and the main influencing factors for lead absorption. The results of this study indicated that all parts of plant can significantly accumulate lead. Concentrations of lead followed an order of root > stem > leaf. Alkaline soil was conducive to the absorption of lead. When the lead concentration in the soil was higher than 20 mg/kg, the lead absorption in root was more. Lead is absorbed most in trees and least in Gramineae. It is argued that this study is beneficial to select plants suitable for absorption of lead from polluted soil. This study also can help to clarify the influencing factors for lead enrichment in different parts of the plant.

Abstract
Se-rich agro-foods are effective Se supplements for Se-deficient people, but the associated metals have potential risks to human health. Factors affecting the accumulation of Se and its associated metals in Se-rich agro-foods were obscure, and the prediction models for the accumulation of Se and its associated metals have not been established. In this study, 661 samples of Se-rich rice, garlic, black fungus, and eggs, four typical Se-rich agro-foods in China, and soil, matrix, feed, irrigation, and feeding water were collected and analyzed. The major associated metal for Se-rich rice and garlic was Cd, and that for Se-rich black fungus and egg was Cr. Se and its associated metal contents in Se-rich agro-foods were positively correlated with Se and metal contents in soil, matrix, feed, and matrix organic contents. The Se and Cd contents in Se-rich rice grain and garlic were positively and negatively correlated with soil pH, respectively. Eight models for predicting the content of Se and its main associated metals in Se-rich rice, garlic, black fungus, and eggs were established by multiple linear regression. The accuracy of the constructed models was further validated with blind samples. In summary, this study revealed the main associated metals, factors, and prediction models for Se and metal accumulation in four kinds of Se-rich agro-foods, thus helpful in producing high-quality and healthy Se-rich.
