Abstract
A palladium-catalyzed asymmetric 1,n-remote aminoacetoxylation of cis-alkenes has been developed using PhI(OAc)2 as an oxidant, providing the acetoxylated lactams with excellent enantioselectivities under mild reaction conditions. The sterically hindered pyridine-oxazoline (Pyox) L3 with a tert-butyl group in oxazoline ring and propyl group in C6 position of pyridinyl is vital for the reaction, where the former is good for asymmetric aminopalladation step and the latter for the chain walking process. The enantioenriched lactam products were proven to be good building blocks for the synthesis of azabicycles.

Abstract
Spermidine alkaloids are a kind of natural products possessing an aliphatic triamine structure with three or four methylene groups between two N-atoms. Spermidine alkaloids exist in plants, microorganisms, and marine organisms, which usually form amide structures with cinnamic acid or fatty acid derivatives. Their unique structures showed a wide range of biological activities such as neuroprotective, anti-aging, anti-cancer, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial. In order to better understand the research status of spermidine alkaloids and promote their applications in human health, this paper systematically reviewed the biological sources, structures, pharmacological actions, and synthetic processes of spermidine alkaloids over the past two decades. This will help to open up new pharmacological investigation fields and better drug design based on these spermidine alkaloids.

Abstract
A concise and efficient total synthesis of the spermidine alkaloid (-)-isooncinotine (1) incorporating a 22-membered lactam ring is outlined. The approach is largely catalysis-based, involving a selective iron-catalyzed alkyl-aryl cross-coupling reaction of a difunctionalized pyridine substrate, a heterogeneous asymmetric hydrogenation step to set the chiral center of the target, and a highly integrated ring-closing metathesis/hydrogenation sequence to forge the saturated macrocyclic edifice in a single operation.
