Abstract
Reductive radical dearomatization N-alkyl quinoline quaternary ammonium salts to synthesize structurally complex and challenging polysubstituted benzo[d][1,3]oxazocines was first reported. The mechanism showed various allyl alcohols can be converted into alkyl radicals under reduction conditions of iron/silane. These radicals then nucleophilically attack the C4 site of N-alkyl quinoline quaternary ammonium salts, and intramolecular cyclization of the resulting intermediate generates the target product. This method not only produced a series of novel polysubstituted benzo[d][1,3]oxazocines but also prepared polycyclic benzo[d][1,3]oxazocines. Finally, this strategy made up for the lack of reductive radical reports on N-alkylquinolinium salts and also had the advantages of mild reaction conditions, wide substrate range, and novel product structure.

Abstract
Cancer is the second most high-morbidity disease throughout the world. From ancient days, natural products have been known to possess several biological activities, and research on natural products is one of the most enticing areas where scientists are engrossed in the extraction of valuable compounds from various plants to isolate many life-saving medicines, along with their other applications. It has been noticed that the bicyclo[3.3.1]nonane moiety is predominant in most biologically active natural products owing to its exceptional characteristics compared to others. Many derivatives of bicyclo[3.3.1]nonane are attractive to researchers for use in asymmetric catalysis or as potent anticancer entities along with their successful applications as ion receptors, metallocycles, and molecular tweezers. Therefore, this review article discusses several miscellaneous synthetic routes for the construction of bicyclo[3.3.1]nonanes and their heteroanalogues in association with the delineation of their anticancer activities with few selective compounds.

Abstract
AbstractA significant influence of the nature of the acyl substituent at the nitrogen atom on the direction of the reaction in the interaction of N-acyl-N-(2-cyclohex-1-en-1-yl-6-methylphenyl)glycines with bromine was found. In the case of the N-benzoyl derivative, along with benzoxazocinone, which is formed through the stages of pseudoallyl halogenation and subsequent lactonization due to the replacement of the bromine atom by the oxygen atom of the carboxyl group, a mixture of axially chiral isomers of spiro-fused 2′-bromocyclohexane-benzoxazepin-3-ones was also obtained. The aR*,R*,R*-isomer of benzoxazepinone, which initially is four times predominant in the reaction mixture, upon dissolution in deuterochloroform, slowly transforms into aS*-conformer until a ratio of 2:1 is established. In the case of the N-acetyl analogue of this glycine, the only heterocycle is the product of 7-exo-halogenlactonization, the benzoxazepinone spiro-fused with 2′-bromocyclohexane and an undetermined configuration of the axial chirality.

Abstract
Herein, we report a tandem cycloisomerization/nucleophilic addition/cyclization of 2-amino chalcone with bifunctional nucleophiles driven by visible light. This cascade process is realized by the irradiation of a blue LED at room temperature, which provides a concise route to structurally diverse benzo[d][1,3]oxazocine scaffolds. Mechanistic studies show that the reaction is initiated with the E to Z isomerization of a C-C double bond upon the irradiation of visible light, followed by cyclization/rearomatization to generate a transient quinolinium intermediate, which is trapped by the nucleophile and cyclized to produce the polycyclic benzo[d][1,3]oxazocine.

Abstract
The cyclization of cyclohexane-1,3-diones with various substituted pyridinium salts afforded functionalized 8-oxa-10-aza-tricyclo[7.3.1.0(2,7)]trideca-2(7),11-dienes. The reaction proceeds by regioselective attack of the central carbon atom of the 1,3-dicarbonyl unit to 4-position of the pyridinium salt and subsequent cyclization by base-assisted proton migration and nucleophilic addition of the oxygen atom to the 2-position, as was elucidated by DFT computations. Fairly extensive screening of bases and additives revealed that the presence of potassium cations is essential for formation of the product.
