Abstract
The design and synthesis of unique two series of fluorinated sulfonamides 3a-f and 5a-g utilizing nucleophilic aromatic substitution reactions of tetrafluorophthalonitrile 1 with various sulfonamides 2 under a variety of different reactions conditions were the key goals of the current research. The chemical composition of the generated products has been investigated via mass spectroscopy, 1HNMR, 13CNMR, infrared, and elemental analyzes. Antimicrobial studies were conducted in vitro to evaluate the activity of all new synthesized compounds against resistant strains. The first series showed high potency in very low concentrations. All compounds were studied against DPPH Radical Scavenging Activity and the other series showed high activity even in low molar ratio. In silico molecular docking was used to investigate the potential binding pathways for different receptors: dihydroprotien synthase protein (ID Code: 1AJ0) as an antibacterial and EGFRWT co-crystallized with erlotinib [PDB ID code 1m17]. Furthermore, synthesized compounds with good ADME predictions to the Lipinski rule of five demonstrated that the recently synthesized compounds had high drug-likeness qualities when the physicochemical parameter for the most powerful novel candidates was determined. Moreover, the DFT/B3LYP method functionalized with a 6-31G (d, p) basis set was employed to calculate quantum parameters, MEP analysis, HUMO, and LUMO.

Abstract
AbstractFacile, iodine-mediated access to N-aryl-2-benzoxazolamines has been achieved in a one-pot manner under mild reaction conditions. Reaction of 2-aminophenols and aryl isothiocyanates afforded N-aryl-2-benzoxazolamines in the presence of molecular iodine and pyridine in tetrahydrofuran at room temperature in moderate to excellent yields.

Synthesis, docking study and biological evaluation of some new thiourea derivatives bearing benzenesulfonamide moiety. Chem Cent J 2017; 11:42. Abstract
Background A series of novel N-(2, 6-dimethoxypyrimidin-4-yl)-4-(3-(aryl)thioureido) benzenesulfonamides 3a–t was synthesized by the addition of N-(2,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-4-yl)-4-isothiocyanatobenzenesulfonamide 2 to the appropriate aromatic amine. The structures of the synthesized compounds were inspired from the second line antituberculosis pro-drugs. Results Most of the new compounds were screened for their activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The results of the antimycobacterial assay showed that compound 3i exerted the highest activity (MIC = 3.13 µg/mL), followed by compound 3s (MIC = 6.25 µg/mL). Conclusion The structure–activity relationship (SAR) analysis revealed that the introduction of the benzo[1,3]dioxol moiety in 3i and the 4-morpholinyl-4-phenyl moiety in 3s has proven to give the most potent compounds in this study. Docking of the promising compounds inside the active site of M. tuberculosis enoyl reductase InhA was performed in order to emphasize the results. The compounds showed a similar orientation to that of GSK 625 inside the active site of 5JFO and bind to Met 98 in a way similar to that of the co-crystallized ligand.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Various thiourea derivatives have been used as starting materials for compounds with better biological activities. Molecular modeling tools are used to explore their mechanism of action. RESULTS A new series of thioureas were synthesized. Fluorinated pyridine derivative 4a showed the highest antimicrobial activity (with MIC values ranged from 1.95 to 15.63 µg/mL). Interestingly, thiadiazole derivative 4c and coumarin derivative 4d exhibited selective antibacterial activities against Gram positive bacteria. Fluorinated pyridine derivative 4a was the most active against HepG2 with IC50 value of 4.8 μg/mL. Molecular docking was performed on the active site of MK-2 with good results. CONCLUSION Novel compounds were obtained with good anticancer and antibacterial activity especially fluorinated pyridine derivative 4a and molecular docking study suggest good activity as mitogen activated protein kinase-2 inhibitor. Abstract
A series of novel heterocyclic thioureas 3a-u containing sulfonamide moiety have been synthesized by the condensation of isothiocyanatobenzenesulfonamide 2 with a variety of heterocyclic amines. The newly synthesized heterocyclic thioureas were investigated for their antimicrobial and anticancer activity. The in vitro antibacterial and antifungal activity were done using well diffusion method. Interestingly, compounds 3j and 3m, showed similar or better activity compared with the reference drug against the tested microorganisms. Although, 3j was less active among its analogues to inhibit the breast carcinoma cells, it exhibit strong broad spectrum antimicrobial activities. However, The results of the cytotoxic activity revealed that compound 3p was the most active against the breast carcinoma cell line (MCF-7) giving promising IC50 value of 1.72 μg/mL, compared with reference drug (5-flourouracil) with IC50 value of 4.8 μg/mL. The most potent compounds in cytotoxic activity 3b and 3p were further docked inside the active site of CAIX and were found to exhibit a proper binding with the active site amino acids according to their bond lengths, angles and conformational energy.

Abstract
The effect of methanesulfonic acid hydrazide (MSH) and its complexes [M(MSH)4Cl2] (M = Mn, Fe, Co, Ni) and [Zn(MSH)2Cl2] on culture growth suppression and viability (Colony Forming Units) of Saccharomyces cerevisiae has been studied. The highest culture growth suppression was exhibited by [Co(MSH)4Cl2], whereas the most cytotoxic appeared [Mn(MSH)4Cl2]. The changes in cell morphology were also traced by means of FACS analysis.

Abstract
Three imine and three reduced imine ligands containing aromatic sulfonamide (2-7) were isolated by a simple method and characterized by FT-IR, NMR, and elemental analysis. Meanwhile, the interaction of 2-7 ligands with [(p-cymene)RuCl2]2 was analyzed in situ by UV-vis spectrophotometer. The in situ generated catalytic system derived from N-(2-(benzylideneamino)phenyl)-2,4,6-trimethyl-benzenesulfonamides and N-(2-(benzylamino)phenyl)-2,4,6-trimethyl-benzenesulfonamides with [(p-cymene)RuCl2]2 was used as a catalyst in the transfer hydrogenation (TH) of p-substituted acetophenone derivatives. The catalytic systems displayed high activities, which increased in the order 7<4<5<6<1<2<3. The best activity for the TH of 4-chloroacetophenone was provided with the [(p-cymene)RuCl2]2/ligand (3) catalytic system (turnover frequency values: 720 h(-1) for 10 min on S/C: 500/1).
