Abstract
Herein, we present a highly efficient dual-functionalized acid-base nanocatalyst, denoted as Fe3O4@GLYMO-HEPES, featuring sulfuric acid and tertiary amines as its dual functional components. This catalyst is synthesized through the immobilization of 4-(2-hydroxyethyl)-1-piperazineethanesulfonic acid (HEPES) as the source of these functionalities onto magnetite (Fe3O4) using 3-glycidoxypropyltriethoxysilane (GLYMO) as a linker. Characterization studies confirm the integrity of the Fe3O4 core, with the GLYMO-HEPES coating exhibiting no phase changes. Furthermore, Fe3O4@GLYMO-HEPES nanoparticles demonstrate a uniform size distribution without aggregation. Notably, the catalyst exhibits remarkable stability up to 200 °C and possesses a saturation magnetization value of 31.5 emu/g, facilitating easy recovery via magnetic separation. These findings underscore the potential of Fe3O4@GLYMO-HEPES as a versatile and recyclable nanocatalyst for various applications. Its catalytic ability was evaluated in the synthesis of various pyrano[2,3-c]pyrazoles and 2-amino-3-cyano-4H-chromenes through a tandem Knorr-Knoevenagel-Michael-Thorpe-Ziegler-type heterocyclization mechanism, using different aldehydes. A wide range of fused heterocycles was synthesized having good to excellent yields. The process is cost-effective, safe, sustainable, and scalable, and the catalyst can be reused up to five times. The prepared catalyst was found to be highly stable and heterogeneous and showed good recyclability.

Abstract
A Hg(OTf)2-catalyzed tandem phospha-Michael addition/cyclization/dehydration of 2-hydroxychalcones with H-phosphine oxides is presented. This protocol provides a new and supplementary approach for the preparation of 4-phosphorylated 4H-chromenes in good yields (up to 99%). In addition, this domino reaction allows the successful construction of two new C-P and C-O bonds in a one-pot operation.

Abstract
A pioneering robust and green heterogeneous acidic catalyst (CSA@g-C3N4) was rationally designed via immobilization of camphorsulfonic acid (CSA) on the g-C3N4 surface under mild conditions. Grafting CSA in the g-C3N4 lattice is distinguished as the root cause of facilitating the structure change of g-C3N4, leading to a unique morphology, accordingly the remarkable catalytic efficiency of CSA@g-C3N4. The morphology of new as-prepared nano-catalyst was specified by means of FT-IR, XRD, SEM, EDS, TEM, TGA, and BET. For the first time, it is exhibited that the efficient catalyst CSA@g-C3N4 can productively accomplish the three-component reactions with high yields and also serve as an inspiration for easily performing various sorts of MCRs based on our finding. The recommended synthesis pathway of chromenes derivatives is facile and cost-effective which applies a condensation reaction of salicylaldehyde, thiophenol, and malononitrile followed by ready purification in a benign manner. Moreover, the CSA@g-C3N4 nanocomposite can be promptly reused, illustrating no sensational decrease in the catalytic activity after ten times.

Abstract
Pyrazole-fused phenanthroline compounds were obtained through several synthetic routes. NMR, HRMS, and IR techniques were used to characterize and confirm the chemical structures. Crystal structures were obtained from compounds 3a, 5b, 5j, 5k, and 5n and analyzed using X-ray diffraction. Compounds were evaluated as acetyl (AChE) and butyrylcholinesterase (BChE) inhibitors, and the results showed a moderate activity. Compound 5c presented the best activity against AChE (IC50 = 53.29 μM) and compound 5l against BChE enzyme (IC50 = 119.3 μM). Furthermore, the ability of the synthetic compounds to scavenge cationic radicals DPPH and ABTS was evaluated. Compound 5e (EC50 = 26.71 μg mL-1) presented the best results in the DPPH assay, and compounds 5e, 5f and 5g (EC50 = 11.51, 3.10 and <3 μg mL-1, respectively) showed better ABTS cationic radical scavenging results. Finally, in silico analyses indicated that 71% of the compounds show good oral availability and are within the ranges established by the Lipinski criteria.

Abstract
An efficient protocol for the Morita-Baylis-Hillman (MBH) reaction of dicyclopentadienone using CTAB has been developed. The MBH adduct was subsequently transformed to its acetate and bromide derivatives. The 1,3-bielectrophilic character of the MBH acetate and bromide was further explored with various 1,3-binucleophiles to construct various oxa-, thia- and aza-heterocycles. These reactions proceed through a cascade double Michael addition of 1,3-binucleophiles to the MBH acetate/bromide under basic conditions. Amenability of these reactions to scale-up and applications of the products in the synthesis of cyclopentenone-fused chromenones and thiopyranoindoles have been demonstrated.
